If the guy is young, immature and shallow - of course it will. I know if I liked a guy, it wouldn't matter if he had little scars. I cant speak for men though, come on guys, speak up.

Welcome to Sciforums AshenLee! Post long and happy:)

Yes, especially if there are worms coming out from them.

I find someone beautiful once I know who they are inside, the inner beauty creates outer beauty. At least in my experience.

No not really.

The only thing that really turns guys off is that you have no idea what your hair color is.

I think that it doesn't matter. Most acne scars are not a big deal. You can always find something pretty about a person.

the way i look at it is that someone can be only mediocre looking, but if they have a great personality, it makes them look even better. Goes the other way too. Alot of girls who are really pretty, if i find out they are mean or shallow or bitchy, i don't think they are as attractive physically. One doesn't replace the other, but it helps. (or hinders)

The more artificial looking the hair colour, the better. Purple, blue, hot pink are all good.

It's not a plus. :) No, I'll go further and say it is a negative. Most men look at the overall package (I'm just talking about a woman's physical aspects here.) though.

I know its Cliché but "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Would you really care if the wrong guy finds you ugly? If he is the right one he will find you beatiful beyond belief. ;)

Oh I'm right with Porfiry about pink hair (blue looks ok too, though I wouldn't both for purple)

Looks wonderful. I wouldn't ask a GF to do it too often though, hair coloring like that is messy, time consuming/maintenance, and certain dyes have been known to cause cancer.

The thing that turns me on about weird hair colors is that they have the guts to be themselves... I hate it if they're only doing it to impress people. Just like I'd like a girl for looking like a total nerd, if that's who she is. Strength in character is a huge turn on for me.

Actually, by definition, when someone dyes her hair, she is not being herself. She is changing her natural appearance so to be someone else. I automatically assume anyone who dyes their hair funky colors is insecure, personally.

i have to disagree with you.
if you were born with really fucked up teeth, would you not get braces to improve their appearance?
If you were born with really ugly hair, wouldn't you die it?
whats the differance?
i die my hair becuase my natural color is terrible.. its ash. Not blond, just ash, its looks grey. i dont dye it crayola colors, i stick with the basics, and sometimes i do different stuff to it, but i do with it what i want. i don't dye it because some magazine said i should.

I care about muyself, and they way i present myself. I do care how people see me. and no, im not saying "oooh look at me, im so trendy", but i never want to hear "omg, look at that slob, does she ever brush her hair?" when im walking down the street. i have a little too much self-respect for that.

Many women dye their hair blonde to get noticed. Blondes get more attention, which is a proven fact.

I know another blonde lady who dyed her hair brownish red because she said people don't take her seriously.

My point is that hair color is very important for people's first impression because of the shallow nature of people.

Like I said, people who dye their hair are insecure. i am not insecure, i am realistic.
next time you go to a job interview, but on a a pair of sweats, some ripped tenis shoes, forget hygiene all together, and give it your best shot.

About 7 years ago it was proven consuming very large amounts of a certain flavor Blowpop caused cancer. Blowpop, the candy, the sucker/lollypop with bubblegum inside. It was a blue and raspberry like flavor. It was due to the dye in the candy. For some reason they were still on sale after this was proven, maybe the goverment suspected no one would eat a whole box full of them within a couple of days. In fact I think they are still on sale today.

I'm not going to bother sifting through thousands of Google links to find this for you nightfall (nor spend hours fully reading the links above).

The "Tab" brand soda pop soft drink has a warning label on it saying studies have shown that this product can cause cancer. However this was related more to consuming large amounts of the artificial sweetener Sacrine (I guess that is how it is spelled, still found in the pink packages of Sweet & Low)

first of all, Clar, everything comes with a warning label.

as for the links you provided.
Link #1: just says that the two might be linked. nothing else. not why, not a precentage of any kind. just, they might be linked.
link #2:
Studies have linked two coal-tar ingredients, from which many hair dyes were made, with cancer. And manufacturers stopped using these chemicals. were were were
link #3 you realize this was a site that was promoting theur own beauty products right? fucking moron.
link #4: -see link #1- whoopdee fucking doo.
link #5: -see link #3-.
link #6: "but at this point there’s no basis for us to say that hair dyes pose a definitive risk of cancer. In the final analysis, consumers will need to consider the lack of demonstrated safety when they choose to use hair dyes." whch brings me to something iread on one of the other links. #3 i believe that mentioined about putting dye directly on scalp. if you pay to get your hair dyed, and they lather up your scalp, report them. hair dye should never come closer than 1/8th of an inch. it shouldn't touch. mainly for irritation reasons.

did you forget i went to school to be a hairdresser before i switched to becomeing a nail tech?.

perhapsnext time you should read the info in the links before using them to try to prove a point. (porfiry, why dont we have a middle finger smiley?)

However this was related more to consuming large amounts of the artificial sweetener Sacrine (I guess that is how it is spelled, still found in the pink packages of Sweet & Low) if you want diet pop that doesn't contain saccrine or aspartame, drink Diet Rite. it contains splenda, which is a natural sugar derivitave, safe for diabetics, and has not shown to cause any adverse health effects.

i am all for toxic products being marketed and used by women. after all it takes a while before body parts start to fall off. before that happens she would be past her prime (18yrs). who would want her then?

hmm?
thoughts? opinions? 2 cents?

Like I said, people who dye their hair are insecure.
Ahem, I have my hair dyed red (yes red!!) for one reason only. Not because I'm insecure, I loved my old hair colour. I did it so I could spend some time with my girlfriend. That is the only reason why I did it. We're planning on dying my leg hairs pink!!

But back to the original topic...

acne scars? do these turn guys off on a girls face? even if they are still prettty...
If someone doesn't like you because of them, they are immature and shallow. You shouldn't waste your time with them. My girlfriend (sorry to bring her up again) has a big scar on her back and a scar on her chest. And has a few scars on her face from when she had chicken pox. I do not care one bit about them. She is very beautiful and something like that couldn't have changed my opinion of her altho she was so scared that it would.

What I'm getting at is don't worry about them. The guys that don't care about them are the guys you should be after.

If I should say I cared about acne scars I would be pretty damn hypocritical.

Sure, I might look at a girl and think 'well she is beautifull' but it's not enough for a meaningfull relationship. Beauty is a plus, not a neccesity, the only negative is if she doesn't want to be herself or if she egotistical.
Yes girls are just like guys, I think girls must admit this. They can be shallow, they can be egotistical and they can be bastard-pigs.

I dyed my hair once. why? There's a time a place for everything, it's called college.

What's the difference between dye and a radical hair cut? are people with mohawks insecure? what about tatoos? i think that's a bit much of a generalization.

back to topic...

they shouldn't care about something so superfical, but then again guys can be immature jerks:(

besides...if you're going to be superfical, breast size is the way to go.:D

whats wrong with dying your hair.... getting breast implants.. thats insecure.....

im a guy with acene scars, and i got this shit called rosacea which makes your cheeks reds always, i got moles all over my body, im short and below average wieght.....

yet ive had some of the most attrative girls ive ever seen hit on me

wether ur a guy or girl, just show them you like to have fun :)
