Of all the scientific discoveries ever made, which would you have most like to have been associated with and why?

Hmm. What I want to be associated with has yet to be discovered: Understanding the condition of consciousness. Why? I can't say for sure, I've just always been completely fascinated with it and for whatever reason feel somewhat gifted in the area. Playing a part in the realization of its understanding would solidify that my "feeling" isn't just unfounded ego.
