I've been keeping a dream journal for 11 years now. What's cool is that the more you focus your attention inwardly in such a way, the more dreams you tend to remember. And you remember more far-out dreams, too... There are things you learn about the nature of dream reality from doing so that must be experienced to be understood.

TruthSeeker You might want to wake up the next morning to say "Good morning, Ra" and hear the birds singing their songs or watch the snow being driven by the wind. Adam/Xev But can't 'impossible' dreams contribute to one's life? Personal example: Pre-teen - Fighter pilot; teen - Spaceman. Neither dream became a reality, but over the years experienced what it might have been like: Submariner, scuba-diver, private pilot, and sky-diver.
