I'm an American. Could you fill me in on the highlights of Canadian history please?

Oh man, when everyone's kicking off for summer vacation, I'm stuck doing coursework in the busy weeks of my life.

Guess I should've actually done work instead of listening to music. That's karma for you.

well we mainly focused on the 1900~1970s period in this course, and I must admit, it was a very good course, I really learned a lot there

1899~1902 was the Boer war
1911 first French Canadian prime minister Wilfrid Laurier, who made tremendous contributions to French and English Canada, lost the federal election to opposition Borden and his Conservative Party, this defeat was caused by a number of reasons including the Naval Service Bill and Reciprocity with the US
1914~1918 first world war - during which the conscription crisis occurred
1920s prosperity
1930s great depression
1939~1945 second world war - second conscription crisis resolved by Prime Minister King
during WWII - first major battle fought by Canadian troops: defense of Hong Kong
also played a major role in: Invasion of Siciliy, Invasion of Normandy, and Liberation of Netherlands
1970s quebec crisis
we went into details of many small events too, and this is just a tiny summary of the most important stuff we studied

we also spent a lot of time talking about how the relationship between the French Canadians (mainly Quebec) and English Canadians changed throughout the years, and events like the Alaska Boundary Dispute, Naval Service Bill, Reciprocity with US, conscription crisis, uspension of hockey player Maurice Richard, and many more affected the french-english relations

it was a good course, however also hard, we had lots of assignments, and lots of memorizations
but it was fun

Oh, I sooooooo envy those who can have a summer ...

In my country, there are no such college terms as you have them in the US.
I have to study the whole summer. I am stuck at home in the country ... with only the computer and a few trips to the city ... It's horrid ... I feel awful.

Yeah, I'll shutup.
