View Full Version : Would you suddenly hate your parents if...?
Carcano 12-01-07, 09:04 PM Flipping through the scandal rags recently I came across two stories which convinced me that perhaps the sexual revolution was all for naught!
The sexual revolution was supposed to persuade us humans that nudity and sexuality are not inherently evil or even objectionable. Most people nevertheless still have the same embarrassments theyve always had...or at least since the days of ancient Greece.
I wonder though if people are simply embarrassed of a perceived ugliness...rather than nudity itself.
A famous movie star recently threatened her cinematographer that if he didnt make her "arse" look splendid on film...he would never work again in hollywood!
Pretty boy Brad Pitt recently announced that he would no longer do nude scenes, because he would be im-bare-assed if his kids ever saw it!
So, let me ask...would you suddenly hate your parents if you happened to see them naked???
Orleander 12-01-07, 09:08 PM Hell no. Been there done that. The sexual position was far more upsetting.
Carcano 12-01-07, 09:14 PM The sexual position was far more upsetting.
Say what...?
francois 12-01-07, 09:15 PM Nope. I've probably seen uglier people naked before. No, I'm quite sure I've see uglier people naked before.
Been there done that, nope no hate.
Orleander 12-01-07, 09:22 PM Carcano? Have you never seen your parents naked?
Carcano 12-01-07, 09:25 PM Carcano? Have you never seen your parents naked?
No. Now what was all that about sexual positions...huh?
Orleander 12-01-07, 09:32 PM I walked in on my parents....in the middle of the day....as a teenager.
Carcano 12-01-07, 09:39 PM I walked in on my parents....in the middle of the day....as a teenager.
Ah...but "upsetting" how exactly?
This is a serious question with a scientific objective...please contribute. :)

Heh they must have been mortified.:D

Yeah right!
Carcano 12-01-07, 09:41 PM Yeah right!
No really...I promise to make an objective point here!
Fabio4all 12-01-07, 09:41 PM No, I wouldn't WANT to, but it's natural. It's natural to want to have sex, it's in human nature. But what is being hardwired into human nature recently is the instant disgust and ridicule of nudity or sex of two people before full marriage. I agree with the need for movement away from the shamefullness of nudity. Of course, it's not okay to walk around naked, that is shameful. But nudity shouldn't be looked down upon with disgust. We're all human.
Orleander 12-01-07, 09:42 PM Heh they must have been mortified.:D...
My mom was super embarrassed. My Dad avoided all eye contact for quite some time.
I still remember the bedspread, time of day, what I was wearing, what I was in there for....burned into my brain!
Orleander 12-01-07, 09:43 PM ....Of course, it's not okay to walk around naked, that is shameful. .....
oh no. I don't wanna go through all this again.
Carcano 12-01-07, 09:44 PM Of course, it's not okay to walk around naked, that is shameful. But nudity shouldn't be looked down upon with disgust.
Ok, but where does the shame come from then...if not from disgust???
pjdude1219 12-01-07, 09:44 PM as long as their is religion people will fear the naked body
Carcano 12-01-07, 09:45 PM My mom was super embarrassed. My Dad avoided all eye contact for quite some time.
If they hadnt been embarrassed...would you still find it upsetting???
Deathfromabove 12-01-07, 09:47 PM So, let me ask...would you suddenly hate your parents if you happened to see them naked???
Nudity not soo much, but if i saw my mum going at it, that would deeply upset me. My mum just is soo innocent and sweet, i can't (refuse) get why head around it.
Carcano 12-01-07, 09:51 PM Nudity not soo much, but if i saw my mum going at it, that would deeply upset me. My mum just is soo innocent and sweet...
Right...so you believe that sexuality is contrary to innocence.
That it is evil...in some way, no?

Yeah, try and imagine catching both your parents having oral sex. :bawl:
Orleander 12-01-07, 09:52 PM If they hadnt been embarrassed...would you still find it upsetting???
YES!!!!
Carcano 12-01-07, 09:52 PM Yeah, try and imagine catching both your parents having oral sex. :bawl:
Is oral sex more evil than intercourse???
Orleander 12-01-07, 09:53 PM If they were just haveing regular intercourse I probably only would have seen my Mom's boobs. No biggie
But....what I saw....
Carcano 12-01-07, 09:56 PM YES!!!!
So your reaction was not simply an extension of their own attitudes toward sexuality.
Where then, does it come from???
Deathfromabove 12-01-07, 10:08 PM Right...so you believe that sexuality is contrary to innocence.
That it is evil...in some way, no?
Personally no, but i just don't see my mum as a sexual being. My relationship with her doesn't help me to accept that she may have sexual feelings and desires.
Carcano 12-02-07, 12:04 PM It would be interesting to do a survey of teenagers to find out if boys are more disturbed by seeing their parents naked than girls...or vice versa.
As far as I know these questions were never explored by Kinsey. :D
MacGyver1968 12-02-07, 12:07 PM Considering dad is 84...I wouldn't hate him...but I'd have to pluck out my eyes. :)

It wasn't the NAKED part, it was the SEX part. Does anyone ever wanna see their dad's willy in their Mom's mouth?! Its bad enough to think my Dad forced her to do that (Mom's don't volunteer).
MacGyver1968 12-02-07, 12:11 PM Does anyone ever wanna see their dad's willy in their Mom's mouth?!
That would be a RESOUNDING NO!!!!!!! You got to be one sick fuck to want to see that. :)
Orleander 12-02-07, 12:14 PM Is oral sex more evil than intercourse???
Yes. Mom's have intercourse as many times as you have siblings +1. Oral sex serves no purpose for Moms.
Now quit questioning my delusions!!
MacGyver1968 12-02-07, 12:17 PM Remind me never to date Moms...
visceral_instinct 12-02-07, 01:47 PM No.
greenberg 12-02-07, 01:56 PM Ok, but where does the shame come from then...if not from disgust???
Notions of vulnerability.
Being naked tends to make people vulnerable, physically and psychologically.
If someone sees you naked, they will more likely be aroused to attack you. And you probably know this.
Your body is more vulnerable when naked.
Shame can be a mechanism to protect oneself.
(Have they ever done IQ tests where the participants had to undress themselves before taking it?)
Carcano 12-02-07, 02:53 PM (Have they ever done IQ tests where the participants had to undress themselves before taking it?)
Excellent idea, where do I sign up...as administrator?:p
Seriously, I have heard of IQ tests in which the subjects were shamed and insulted before the test, and the scores went down significantly!
You may be on to something.
Carcano 12-02-07, 02:56 PM Now quit questioning my delusions!!
Ok, how about if the shoe was on the other foot?
Is oral sex still evil when YOU yourself...are the hapless victim???
Carcano 12-02-07, 02:57 PM (Mom's don't volunteer).
Moms are not women...apparently???
Carcano 12-02-07, 03:56 PM Your body is more vulnerable when naked.

Depends what youre wearing I suppose. If youre bundled up for winter, all those layers might imped your movement.
The ancient Celts used to hurl themselves into battle with only sword and shield...in their birthday suit!
Orleander 12-02-07, 03:58 PM Ok, how about if the shoe was on the other foot?
Is oral sex still evil when YOU yourself...are the hapless victim???
No, not to me. But I'm sure it is to my children.
