I don't think of myself as ambitious, but I do tend to make choices that help my career.

yes I am. I don't want to be the powerful person, I want to be the person behind the powerful person. You see them on TV. The assistant who is basically in charge of the powerful person.

Nope, but I am capable of being ambitious. I just don't feel like it right now.

Yes. Very much so. In my 20s and 30s it was all about reaching goals and developing a huge portfolio. That has made my 40s so much easier.

I'm feeling a little bit ambitious now. I think I'll get off for a while.

I don't know if I'm ambitious or not. I tend to go out and get what I want, but I don't have a want or need for many things.

Smart. That's the way to do it. Low profile while still having all the same connections, not popularity, is how ya survive and maintain your power. Otherwise if you're a big shot, some foolish and ambitious glamour-whore TV-person-in-training will try and take over your job wanting to be #1 because we're all lead to believe that's best. Popularity is a curse.

That was smart. I was partying, so I'm playing catch up now.

Extremely. It isn't healthy. I've substituted work for previous addictions. It is the single biggest focus of my life. I always ask myself, "When it's all said and done, will I look back and say, 'Geez, I wish I would have worked a little more...'" But I can't get over the feeling that I wasted a lot of time partying when I should have been working, and now I have a lot of making-up to do. So, I get bored, and go in to work, or just go in and work on small projects that I didn't have time to work on when I was there during my regular schedule.

yeah that sounds fun... but in reality it causes alot of shitty stuff. like ulcers, and tension, and nerve problems, and weight gain, and thinning hair... and when its all over they'll fire you anyway becuase your a "luxury not a necessity" to fatten their own stupid paychecks, even if that asswad couldn't function without the spreadsheets YOU created!.. grumble grumble grumble.

    I'm a very ambitious person.

I have a goal in sight, and I am ambitious at acheiving it.
I will stop at nothing, I will climb heights, I am determinend, I have motivation.

I don't know the value of what would most people think ambition is?

I haven't had any problems so far. And I married one of those powerful people.

Its nice when an old boss calls and begs you to move so they can have you working for them again "These people are idiots!" I told one that I'd help for $100 an hr. He actually said ok.

To be very ambitious is not a good thing. At the very least you'd be incredible egoistic and self-centered.

To be non-ambitious or lazy is a bad thing. Someone could end up on welfare, food stamps, public housing, in jail, in a cr@ppy neighborhood, living in their mother's basement/garage/attic, driving a beater car, being depressed, fat, in a crummy job, being a broke loser etc....

Ambitious is better. At least until you get your portfolio set for life. Then you can coast a little bit.

Oh, and ambition does not = self-centered, egotist, or anything negative. It's a winner mentality/positive way of thinking.
