Hey so I got myself a new Toyota Corolla 2010 S but I actually want to trade it for a Honda Element 2005-2008. I like Honda Element more because its much more spacier inside. So how would I if I would be able to change my Toyota corolla 2010 S brand new for a used or possibly new Honda Element? Do dealers do this sort of a thing? Any ideas?

well what if a dealer has the Honda Element I want for 13k and my new Toyota Corolla 2010 S is worth 15k. Would the change take place?

Dealers would love to take that trade. You will lose money though.

Let me tell you something folks I need a car for three surfboards and in winter I need it for two snowboards...Toyota Corolla will just not be enough to fit those in. And I need to fit in 3 people on top of that.

No. The Corolla may be worth $15k, but that is what the dealer will want to resell it for. The dealer wants/needs to make a profit off the sale so there is no way he'll actually that much.

Your best bet would be to find someone with an Element that wants to trade even up for your Corolla.

Edmunds.com lists the 2010 S Corolla value at about $17k brand new. They list 2008 Honda Elements ranging from $13k-17k. I couldn't find any listing, any blue book value, for 2010 cars yet. The couple of local dealers I checked with too didn't have any used 2010 models listed.

yes "acquired" so lets not dwell not on how and focus on helping me change it for the Honda Element auto transmission.

I still want to know how you acquired it.

As for exchanging it.. why don't you go to your nearest Honda dealer and ASK THEM?
Or, alternatively, perhaps you can just 'acquire' a Honda Element.

Enmos I currently live in the mountains, high up in the mountains...the nearest large city is in another state a whole 5 hours bus drive away.
