I don't know what to put on the list so just guess, pick a book you've read and hated more than anyother.

Some books are too predictable. No twists and turns. I just couldn't get into the phone book. I guessed the ending from the get go. Sure enough, I flipped to the end and there it was 'Yakev Zyzanovich'.

I actually did read a phone book once - beginning to end, looking for a particular number (I knew the number, but not the name/ address).
Longest 4 hours of my life....

I hope you don't live in Los Angeles or Chicago but rather in Sagebrush, Wyoming or Rockpile, Idaho.

Why didn't you just phone the number?

If he read it from beginning to end then the number had to belong to 'Yakev Zyzanovich' or perhaps a 'Yuri Zuzyngov' or maybe Ziggy's 24 hour Pizza.

Because it was the guy having an affair with my wife - I didn't know who he was or where he lived (and he just put the phone down when he heard a male voice....)

As it turned out the sod was ex-directory

silly silly man. You call the phone company and say this number was on your bill. You don't recognize it and was wondering who it was.

Because in the UK they will not EVER give you a name and address from a telephone number.

Why not do the U.K equivalent of directory assistance and ask for "hey, the guy who is sleeping with my wife?"

    They don't.
    And I did try that.
I went sort of off my head for a short while....

Besides: the correct answer would have been "which one?".

"So would that be the man sleeping with your wife in London, the man sleeping with your wife in Manchester or the man sleeping with your wife in Oxford?"

    Yeah. My sympathies.

worst book I ever read was Farenheit some damn number. I couldn't even get through it all. The dust jacket synopsis was awesome, but then I opened it. yawn!

My aunt wrote one that was pretty awful. I even found a signed copy once at goodwill, which is unusual, since they didn't print that many.

try sending him a small text message inviting him for a date then meet with him, then you can ...ask him a couple of things in person
