"Mr Danger". Very fitting. Seems the only people for the US way of life are the few who profit from capitializing on weaker peoples of the planet.

To listen to the local discourse, Darwin would have no street cred in these parts if he didn't unabashedly wear his mommy's panties out in public.

Capitalism sucks but what kind of government would you prefer? Communist dictatorship?

    Better than a Democratic Dictatorship.

No matter what the presidents do the people just helplessly watch as their leaders destroy the country. Presidents have too much power. There should be a facility to raise votes against the evil actions.

That would be giving the people too much power, in my opinion. Once the President is sworn in, he will constantly be being checked by the uneducated, uninformed people and popular groups who decide what he's doing is evil. Everything he does will be evil to someone or some group somewhere, and if they have enough members, then the President is effectively powerless.

People always bitch about or queen (the dutch one) but I see a great value in having her. Because we have a queen, we do not have a president. Our prime minister doesn't have the same power as a president would have. The queen has some power on paper, but she isn't in a position to abuse it.

Obviously I would rather have no head of state at all. But one man doesn't constitute a revolution.

I still don't see why we would need a head of state. Certainly not in this modern era with technological possibilities unheard of decades ago. We could have a direct democracy with no problem (technology wise).

And the US is just gliding in the wrong direction. From democracy to facism.

why not, isnt that what democracy was all about ?

Who cares what the dogs say, what about the majority ?

Some one is not the majority.

How much should be enough ?

Direct democracy, yes; Representative democracy, no. And it just so happens that America is a representative democracy.

What I meant by that was that we can't put out the intelligence briefings to America's citizens (and therefore the world). The President is given certain information collected by the CIA, NSA, and all the other 3-letter acronym Intelligence services that the general public has no business hearing. Even now, the walls have ears. Leaks are rampant among the White House nowadays.

Capitalism isn't the problem. The problem is corporations. The corporation is not a natural result of capitalism, it is an institution created by government. You need all kinds of special laws in order for corporations to exist, and governments around the world, even in dictatorships, even in communist nations, have been falling all over themselves for hundreds of years to facilitate the rise of corporations. Corporations fill the role played by aristocracies in the pre-democracy days. They distract our attention from the errors and frauds perpetrated by government with their own errors and frauds. We can't punish them because they're not real so they can get away with anything.

Capitalism is just a mechanism for running a free economy fairly. Corporations make it unfair.

Clue 1: People don't vote for the Federation's President. People vote for their State's vote for the Federation's President.

    The Electoral College-thing, you know.

    No?

Let me guess: Progressiveness is make-believe in high gear.

    Just another faith-based industry.

But what if an evil man gives a clean chit to the society and becomes the most powerful man in the universe.
