I can't get my bios to recognize my new hard drive is bigger than 128mb. It's a new 200gig WD. This is beginning to piss me off

It is not a problem with your BIOS (I don't suspect anyway), it is a problem with your operating system (or, file system for that matter).

The FAT32 file system doesn't work right with partitions over 128GB This is because the cluster size has to exceed 64K and go over 128K (which FAT recognizes as more than 512 bytes per sector).

Actually wait, the problem could be with your motherboard/BIOS - if you have an older board that is ATA66, or an older version of ATA100, that could be the issue. If you don't have 48-bit addressing, that is the problem. You can remedy this through buying a Promise ATA133 controller card (which is not very expensive if you just get a low end model with 2 channels, no RAID or anything).

Motherboards with an older "version" of ATA100 won't natively support over 128GB

That's probably the problem since I'm using NTFS. Thanks for the tip.
