what if she chose to do the same in a bank? Use their login and password to gain access to the guys account? Money are virtual today, so I understand that this guy called the police eventhough its "only" virtual stuff.
YinyangDK actually if you take second life as an example its possable to turn buinesses in there into real profitable buinesses which pay a REAL income
The title sounds like she was arrested for something she did in the virtual game but she was arrested for something she did in real life.
I know that logging on to somebody's account on Sciforums can get you banned, but can you get arrested?
i highly doubt it here. It would be up to the poster to press charges, hacking a mods acount with the intention of fucking the site though might get you arested
If someone somehow logs on as me & pretends to be me, we'll probably find out if they can be arrested.
S.A.M., string. What difference does it really make as to what it was, criminal damage is criminal damage and hacking is hacking. should we as a sociaty really be judging what other people place importance on or should we accept that something is important to them and act acordingly?
Betrayer0fHope defermation and libal are civil suites, you wouldnt be arested, you would be summonsed
Betrayer-Defamation and Libel are civil suits, you wouldn't be arrested, you world be issued a summons. GeoffP-Where's my hamster? Asguard-I love you like kinfolk, man. Slow down on the typing, rub your eyes, splash water on your face... something. That stuff needs to get better. I'm not gonna stalk you and be your spellchecking sidekick or anything, but if he goes to school and spells stuff like that, it could effect his future.
I can't understand. I would have contacted the guys running the site. If she stole my real ID in the real world and my bank money, then I would call the police. In fact, he is hardly the victim in the case. A couple of days out of the game.
