Took a trip up to Wintergreen Resort in the Blue Ridge Mountains and had an awesome time. The last night we stayed, we had the chance to watch a meteor shower in the hot tub and then took some pictures of the cloud cover in the morning.

Spent a lot of time in the Smokies. I used to live about 40 miles from it. All along the Blue Ridge Parkway you will find breath taking scenery and old places to visit. The weather changes fast also so you can be caught up there if you are not careful, especially in the winter. The background of the pic in the photo thread is from along the trail, though I edited it and not much remains to be seen in the pic. The actual shot came from a water wheel at which I was standing next to one of the walls.

    Nice shots.

    Pine_Net...

That's the Smokies I remember and aren't likely to forget. Off the beaten path you can also find picturesque creeks with (cold!)water gushing and spewing over huge, time-worn boulders, and all manner of camera-worthy natural architecture. One particular sunset I experienced there was other-worldly. The depth of hues was mesmerizing.

Your photos turned out well. Thanks for sharing.
