I know it is a saturday night and we should all be out doing something to make us believe that we are not wasting our lives and all but i have this last bit of chilean cabernet-sauvignon next to me and it's so red and beautiful and i will drink it to your healt
and i just made this thread to praise this beautiful delicious heavenly drink, under which influence i am now
:D
also i will be back later to speak to you lovely people
soon
domesticated om 02-17-06, 07:41 PM I'm a beer lover myself. I just got done jogging, and as soon as I get out of the shower, I'm going to open a bottle of my current favorite (Flying Dog--- Gonzo Imperial Porter)
About the only wines I like are the really heavy red ones, and only with food.
Guilty_Biscuit 02-17-06, 07:57 PM I prefer a Chilean Merlot but I'm currently drinking port, why? Because it was half price :D
Cottontop3000 02-17-06, 08:18 PM I know, I know. Anyway, I love red wine. Any kind. But I like it on ice. The colder, the better. Sorry to be so uncivilized.
cole grey 02-17-06, 09:07 PM Wow, i thought today was friday, maybe I am drunk too. Or am I stuck in the only backwater place on earth where it is still friday?
I think the french restaurant might have some good wine, I must leave you...
No jokes, about me leaving that is, I am veeeerrry senthitibve, hic.
i guess it wasant saturday when i wrote that but it's friday now ha
wine... :bugeye: ....what's that?...no alcohol in my veins...
i dont speak funky letters!
i apologise in advance
domesticated om 02-17-06, 10:50 PM huh?
Exactly! Last week, or perhaps instantly, you should plant several at a time to finalize the alternative. True or false?
....oh wait, sorry about that (forgot to turn off the 'perplexing koan' pluggin on my web browser).

cole grey 02-18-06, 03:13 AM I was just being silly.
I think the best thing about making one of those wine and sugar in the melon concoctions (sangria?) is that you can drink it ice cold the next morning and eat the fruit soaked in wine.
Does anyone have a good recipe for that? I just make it by guessing and it is ok, but not perfect by any means.
Varda, I thought you might know since you live in brathilia, although maybe it is more of an argentine thing? By the way, when is the best time of year to visit brazil? I'm not so into huge crowds, which I assume are the largest during carnaval.
Cottontop3000 02-18-06, 05:57 AM I love sangria, cole grey. My best friend is from Puerto Rico, and he got me hooked on it way back in college. I haven't had it in a long time though. It's too good. Thanks so much for reminding me. :) Sorry, I don't have a recipe for it either.
I love Californian Turning leaf wines
Zinfandel and Woodsbridge especially

Cottontop3000 02-18-06, 05:27 PM I used to drink a lot of white zinfandel at some point in my life, I think because it was inexpensive. ON ICE, of course. :)
sorry dragon, i wasnt making much sense, was i?
i'd think drinking wine from a fruit would be more of a hawaian thing, or is it?
well, the way argentinians are pretentious and snob about their wine, i woundt think they do that a lot
brazil is a huge country which has something to please everyone all year long... it depends on what kind of things you like... hot weather, cold weather, beaches, forests, deserts, caves, cities...
Cottontop3000 02-18-06, 06:41 PM Sounds good. Got any waterfalls or clear mountain streams to go swimming in?
so many :)
google foz do iguaçú and bonito matro grosso for a preview
Cold weather?! It is very rare you have temperatures below +10C! :p
Weird though, I have never thought of visiting Americas :/ Don't know why, something in unconsciousness, too alien to my liking perhaps, although I'd like to see the ancient indian cities, especially the one by the lake Titicaca, but it's in Peru I'm afraid.
riku_124 02-18-06, 06:56 PM wine is good, i only get it on holidays like christmas and thnaksigiving ( american holiday) but my grampa always gives me more when my paents arent looknig ( praise god for grandparents, and women) and if i go to my grandparents he will give me a beer or soem wine or osmething. i dont liek the beer much, its bitter, bittersweet is good, but its jsut palin bitter. good wine thta ive had recently is white zimphendel and iwne coolers.
best drink ive ever had though is vodca STRAIT vodca none of thta watermellion twist shit or mixing it with coolaid or anyhting. vodca with orange juice on theo ther hand......
Cottontop3000 02-18-06, 06:59 PM so many :)
