I did not mean to ask how to get around the password ..but how do we get around the Login and directly go to the desktop as I have this annoying pop up on both my computers at home...

With Win98 (From memory which isn't 100% accurate)

If you want to remove the passwords I think you have to go to the settings for network/fileshare and then decide what type of LOGON you want.

one is meant for network machines and multiple users, the other just makes a singular user removing the need for passwording.
(Since the logon was only meant for saving multiple desktop settings.)

As for getting around the LOGON password of Win98, just press Cancel *-pmfff!* ~laughs~

Microsoft really over did their encryption for the password files for that one. (They didn't really need to put that much work into it)
