Seting aside all, bias options of the USA and its "great" reputaion for "justice" We all know why the US wont sign the ICC. But is the ICC such a great thing any way. Will it acualy work? If you ask me I think it will fail and just make every thing into a power strugle of who controls the ICC. What do you think?

Well Yah, a ICC might be a good idea, and is important, but is THIS ICC going to work. It seems like there is way too many flaws in it. Like there is no enforcement, to make people go to the ICC not to mention the way its set up, has what so ever no respect for rights that people have. Like a quick and speedy trial. And what happen to the countrys that done sign, do we just igore them and say oh who cares about them. I would love to see the US go on trial, but than againt he US would just put other countrys on trial as well and it would just make every one look bad, because no one is relly inocent.

Why? There's no logical benefit to the ICC.

He ICC is a utopian dream going to go sour, there is plenty of benfits from have a perfect ICC one that every one used because they want to make the world a safer place. Will it work, no because its flawed. The bendfit to the ICC is that the world is a better place and you wont have to worry about war any more. And you can sit there and say, the US dont need give a rats @ss about it, but the fact is, they do, slowly people are becomeing the US's enemys. But were not talking about a utopian plan were talking about Is the humanly diseased ICC going to work? Is it for the better good? Is it a good idea for the US to sign or not?

The ICC is the equivalent of the World Court, but for individuals rather than state actions. Now, does the World Court work?

the nazies on trial said that there trials were a sham because they were just the victors judging the vanquished

and to some exstent they were right because there were no rules before hand and none of the alies went up on trial (and i can garentiee the alies wernt all little darlings)

the purpose of the ICC is to make a legal system for WAR

this means impartiality is going to be VERY hard to find if left to the countrys involved so it must come from else where, ie the world comunity
