By VOA News China says the United States has "gravely undermined" relations between the two countries by awarding Tibet's spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, with its highest civilian medal.

China has America as its biggest trading partner, why would they want to do anything that harms America except make more money. If America wasn't to be able to pay its debts then I would think China could do something just as a bank would do to a client that can't pay their loans.

They are going to punish us with sanctions by not exporting any more of their quality goods over to us.

I've seen that certain types of lipstick contain high amounts of lead in them and that was only one product of late.

And the unemployed of America keep buying and buying Chinese because they either can not afford American, or there is no such thing as American products. Even Catfish now come from China!

Punish? Not directly but don't underestimate China's ability to stifle American foreign policy on Iran and on other issues. No ally except Israel will support American military action without a clear UN mandate and that mandate will never be achieved without Russia and China on side.

Well, Putin is behind Iran...looks like cold war is shaping up....
