What is wrong with Wikipedia? Do you agree?

I love Wiki, the article is kind of stupid. I don't see why trivia and "serious" knowledge can not coexist...

The biographies of Pok'emon are important stuff! And who cares about the Polish soldarity movement? It will probably fail anyway...

I'm obviously joking, but I don't see a problem with adding tons of trivial stuff. It wont make non-tirival stuff any better, and it wont improve wikipedia's reputation. All it might do is get some important stuff blocked out because someone thought it was "trivia", especially when politics gets involved with whoever controls the filter.

If you want more artlies on the polish solidarity movement, you need to go write them. We have other online things for serious, accurate, and complete information on important subjects (even though Wikipedia does a good job most of the time).

I wonder what will happen when wikipedia becomes sentient.
What if it TRIES TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

What is happening is that it is getting more difficult to add or edit personal experiences and opinions. That requires published and reviewed references. So, those who post tacit information and have not published, would be taken down. That is the limitation. That means unless a subject matter expert blogs or publishes his experience it will still stay hidden. Other than that it is a good place for quick reference about anything....
