From 1993 to 2001 was 8 years. Terrorists waited 8 years for the next attack. It shows that they are patient.

So theoretically, the next attack can happen in 2009 (2001+8). Or maybe later.

And this is only the "umbrella group" we call Al-Qaida. This doesn't take into account of the groups that are just as extremist as Al-Qaida.

They're just waiting for us to be lax. And I know for a FACT that we will become lax. We can't always be on high alert. Sooner or later, the FBI is going to screw up somewhere. Sooner or later, the CIA is going to miss a crucial piece of evidence abroad. Sooner or later, the Federal Government (Rep or Dem) will make a costly miscalculation somewhere. These muslim terrorists hate Islam, and hate their own people so much that they are willing to attack the UN?! The UN was responsible for halting the war this summer. I can't see what the terrorist could hope to accomplish, as this further divides moderate Muslims from the extremists. I'm thinking that all the US actions seem to be helping the militants, in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iraq and now they want to get involved in Iran.
