Why isn't everyone angered by posts like this?

I'm sorry to come across as a rabid feminist with a rod up her ass, but really, how is a girl supposed to react to a post like this:

Unless you're specifically talking about doing something that requires physical strength, which is fine, why the fuck should a woman not think she is as capable as a man at doing whatever it is she wants to do with her life?

For fuck's sake. A girl or woman is just a human being. A sentient with feelings, opinions, fears, and hope, same as a man. So why would anyone think they could say to a woman that, basically, she is inferior and will always be less than a man, and just expect her to lie down and accept that??!!!

Pretty broad definition of a slut. I'd call it inaccurate.

By the way, women are different than men physically and thus are, generally speaking, not as capable as men in certain areas.
    And vice versa.
    Nothing wrong with that.

That's two posts of mine in the last week someone has started a thread over. :bugeye:

What I meant in the highlighted section was what invert pointed out. Men are physically superior, and it makes me mad when women doubt this and say both genders are the same in every way. Then, as angrybellsprout would describe it, they don't agree with "equal rights to being punched in the face" (they're supposedly equal to men in every way, yet you're not allowed to hit them).

Sorry if you found what I said to be offensive.

    Oh right....

Well that's reasonable. But the way you just said 'as capable as a man' made it sound like you were just pissed off at women who weren't content to be treated as lesser.

Could you not just say stronger? I do know what you mean but words like superior are kind of....loaded. Sure, men can lift heavy things. Big deal. I don't particularly want to be able to lift 50 kilos over my head, why should I think of my body as inferior because I cannot do that? It's like asking men to accept that women are 'superior' because we can give birth.

    Hence this sentence:

I think how you are supposed to react is to shake your head in dismay, get angry, write the likes of Kadark and Norsefire off as ridiculously ingorant dumbfucks who have close to zero understanding of women and then prepare yourself for a lifetime of coming across such deficient men/boys and learn very quickly how to recognise them and avoid them at all costs. Don't engage with them, just ignore them and walk away. Sadly some will come with sugary tongues so watch out.

    Life lessons learnt hard.

She found it offensive because it was offensive. If some jock woman thinks she an equal to men in all areas
    how
    the
    hell
    does that make
    her a
    slut
    even if she is wrong.
What does thinking you are capable of something have to do with a term that has to with having sex too much - whatever this last concept is really about.

You're going to have to accept (one way or another) that men are physically superior to women. If you'd like me to word that as "stronger", I will, however I don't truly see a point. Both basically mean the same thing.

It takes a "ridiculously ignorant dumbfuck" to know one. Seriously, when did showing dissatisfaction with women proclaiming unconditional equality with men (not as in rights, but as in abilities) make someone ignorant? I think it takes a pretty ignorant person to see both genders as identical.

The thread was asking members what the word meant to them - not what the word actually means. Yes, I know its main definition applies to sexually promiscuous women with little or no dignity or self-respect, but my environment and upbringing has naturally expanded on its definition for my usage. For example, if me and my friends are watching a loudmouthed, ignorant girl who thinks she's the head honcho, I'll make a remark along the lines of: "man, I sure hate that stupid slut over there". Now, am I necessarily referring to her sexual activity? Of course not! I guess you could say that for me, the word has simply become a petty insult.

but it's a telling misuse of the word. When woman are not how men like them they tend to become 'whores' or 'sluts'. What does that mean? They have a lot of sex without love. Of course the woman would only be acting like many men do. In fact when men do it it tends to be seen as OK or even good. But it is not OK for women to be like men to these men. When men want to cut on a man it is often about them being faggots. What does that mean? being like a woman.

Men want their women pure. They never notice their hypocrisy and all the hatred of women inherent in a word like 'slut' or 'whore' or 'faggot'.

These men want to be free to act like they want, but do not think that women should be as free as them.

So there are men running around trying to get women to sleep with them and if they do they are sluts and whores.

And if they are confident - ie. not letting men know at all times that they are best - they are sluts and whores.

The whole thing is boring and old.

I dont necessarly think that one gender is superior to the other. There is physical superiority in different ways, men are born with more muscle mass, at least most are. That doesn't make women altogether inferior to them.

    sowhatifit'sdark,

I have given you my criteria for calling a woman a "slut". Being confident is not one of them. Oh, and this isn't all about women - I have a whole arsenal of insults I use to refer to sleazy guys, that are the male equivalent of female sluts. This isn't a one-way road. The reason I'm staying on the topic of women is because the thread was asking for our definition of "slut", a word associated (overwhelmingly) with women.

God-fucking-damn. Did you even get what I was trying to say? Stronger just means a man can lift heavier than a woman. Superior means more than that. Superior means that a male body is inherently better than a female body. Do you not see the distinction? Did you even bother reading this

YES!! Thank you. That is exactly what I have been trying to say, and what Kadark keeps refusing to recognise. I don't feel the need to be overly physically strong, so why should I think of myself as inferior because I don't have that particular quality?

Men aren't only stronger than women. They can also jump higher (vertically and horizontally), run faster, swim faster, do every single sport in existence better, etc. Hell, they can even hold their breath longer! Physically, they are (on average) superior. So contrary to what you say, men are more than just "stronger" than women, from a physical perspective.

Women have better endurance, if I remember correctly. They're also lighter and more agile.

And no, they actually can't do every sport that exists better than a woman can. Women are better at long distance swimming because their fat reserves keep them going and retain heat, and females do better at sports that require someone to be small, agile and light, like gymnastics(why do you think so many of them are adolescent girls?).

Funny...just about every single world record for physical accomplishments has been set by men.

But yeah, whatever. This thread's purpose was to see what I meant by my original post, and now you know. Did you want to discuss something else?

Gender differences are like racial differences: there are differences, on average, but there is great overlap, and so one will find caucasians who are smarter than most orientals, and women who are physically stronger than most men.

Why would it anger me? It is true.

Of course I think woman should have rights but they shouldn't be sluts. The only two things I don't think woman should be allowed to do is the Police and the Military.

It isn't black and white...Women are just now starting to have equal opportunities after centuries of societal gender roles.
