View Full Version : Why is Spidergoat a Mod?
Buffalo Roam 01-04-07, 03:09 PM With responses like this I don't believe he has the maturity to be one.
Up your ass it sounds like. Bush did not want a 9.11 commission, he wouldn't testify under oath, he prevented formal investigation into the lies he told to bring us to war. Bush did not fund the war under the budget but under supplemental appropriations.
Sock puppet path 01-04-07, 03:30 PM SpiderGoat is a moderator because has is both arachnoid and mammalian at the same time therefore he is the only member to have crossed the plane of transspecial existence.....he also is armed with the force of hobbit.
spuriousmonkey 01-04-07, 03:43 PM he also is armed with the force of hobbit.
So you are saying he is harmless?
spidergoat 01-04-07, 03:57 PM I have deleted the offending material and warned me about the rules.
Note that I still reserve the right to express my personal opinions, but I will try to be as fair as possible in moderating.
If maturity is a requirement for mods, does that make us wiser than the plebes?:p
spuriousmonkey 01-04-07, 04:01 PM Nobody told me maturity was a requirement. :o
imaplanck. 01-04-07, 04:04 PM YOure not a mod aswell are you Sam?
This is getting too much like too many chiefs and not enough plebiens.

Me neither. Me talk pretty now?:(

I didn't get the "maturity" memo.:(
Odin'Izm 01-04-07, 06:59 PM Who said Moderators can't have feelings, the segment was also un offensive to a particular person. so wtf?
vslayer 01-04-07, 11:51 PM as long as he isnt deleting all posts which expressa viewpoint contradictory to his own, then what is the problem with him expressing his opinion?
§outh§tar 01-05-07, 02:03 AM spidergoat, is it possible to give you an infraction for you actually giving yourself a warning for posting your 'pinion?
You are not allowed to give warnings or infractions to Moderators.
what a bunch of bullshit that is.
spuriousmonkey 01-05-07, 05:29 AM what a bunch of bullshit that is.
you would like a lone nut to give out a handful of infractions to each moderator so that they are all banned?
Which means they can't be unbanned.

Yeah, I see the logic -- moderators now are akin to "da pigs". In SciF's case, cops wearing civilian clothes. So unfair and unreasonable, uh?
spuriousmonkey 01-05-07, 06:12 AM Nothing to do with pigs. Monkeys. monkeys monkeys.
The higher the monkey sits in a tree the more you see of his glorious bottom.

but a lone nut can do thart to anyoine else. and wouldnt this behavuiiour be viewed as trolling anyway? which would then be dealyt weith by a super moderator...or next in chain of command.
btw- what info do mods have access to that members do not?

Why would you want to stop at supermods? Surely you should be able to give them infractions if you desire to give mods infractions. Same for the admins.
Does it matter where you cross the line if the line is crossed. It's crossed or it is not?

Nobody wants to give infractions to monkeys, Spurious. Especially when they're all dressed up in civilian clothes (don't worry about us seeing what we shouldn't - lol). I mean, it would sound silly to say, "hey, here come the monkeys!!" -- you'd think we'd be doing a 1970s retro.

i cannot see the point in giving an administrator an infraction.

What if they call you a ******* ****?
What if they call you a ******* ****?
i would cry.
what does this part (*******) mean?
spuriousmonkey 01-05-07, 06:48 AM Imagine something really bad.
Imagine something really bad.
must be euro terminology/ rhynms w\ bucking runt?
Nikelodeon 01-05-07, 08:17 AM If a God, I mean a Mod, gets infractions, will they be banned temporarily? Will their forum be open to rampant abuse during that time?
Athelwulf 01-05-07, 10:20 AM I'm left wondering how that could be considered insulting, except maybe the "up your ass" bit. And only if you're PC or something.
The vast majority of the snippet looks merely like an opinion you simply didn't like. That's not immaturity on spidergoat's part.
Meanwhile, 01-05-07, 10:22 AM Look, mods want also to participate as themselves -- as posters, hence infractions, like any other poster. Goofyfish is about the only mod who could dodge infractions for his commentary is typically not as poster but as mod moderating.
The Devil Inside 01-31-07, 03:58 AM there should be a "user rating" that the mods have, based on their popularity as a mod.
a lower score would equal less "mod-like" abilities.

You want politicians for mods?
:( :( :(
The Devil Inside 01-31-07, 04:05 AM i want them to make their subforums more attractive, instead of some of them pursuing personal agendas.
spuriousmonkey 01-31-07, 04:15 AM oh joy...an opportunity to be constructive on sciforums.
What would make the biology, or any subforum more attractive?
The Devil Inside 01-31-07, 04:27 AM shut up.

This is by far the awesome-est post on this thread.
Nikelodeon 01-31-07, 11:19 AM What would make the biology, or any subforum more attractive?
Full frontal nudity.
Athelwulf 01-31-07, 12:02 PM Only to Genji.
Only to Genji.
You don't find pregnant women attractive? I bet Bells' tits are swollen with milk.
And I hear sam's got a nice rack.
