The point is, he has been here so long without a ban - so what precipitated it: a radical change in behaviour on part of spurious monkey, or a radical change in behaviour on part of the banning authorities?

We really should have a policy that immediately bans anyone who starts one of those attention-seeking "goodbye" threads. At least for 6 mo.

The general feeling is that spuriousmonkey has been a very good contributor in the past, but he has ceased to be constructive of late. But don't take my word for it...you should read some of his revent posts compared to some of his older posts.
