I'm referring to this (http://sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=34107), a thread started by Zarkov.
Lately, I haven't been reading much in the cosmology subforum, but, when took a gander and saw this, I was kind of befuddled:
"In this thread, Cosmology, old and new is the theme..."
"But any slanderous or nasty comments are not welcome..."
"Invisible light, Physics without Einstein, Electrodynamic spin gravity theory, Ether of magnetism... and any other threads I have posted it [sic]."
Firstly, isn't "cosmology, old and new" the theme of the whole, bloody subforum?
Secondly, are slanderous or nasty comments ever welcome... anywhere on sci?
Thirdly, if that "it" is meant to be "in," as I guess it is, is anyone allowed to create a new thread simply to continue an indeterminate number of personal debates? Is anyone allowed to make a thread that blatently states "I'm here, so convenience me and ask away!".
I understand that the continuation of a single debate in another thread is an old precendent, but how about multiple debates... or even unspecified ones (any other threads I haved posted )?
The thread seems kind of open-ended and extraneous to me, more like an issued challenge than a productive topic... or a "topic" at all.
Seriously, what's the deal with this:
"Cosmological.... no topic"
"... and any other threads I have posted it.
In this thread these are all valid topics for discussion..."
That's right, 'cause when I think [i]NO TOPIC, I think stuff Zarkov wants to talk about.
Or how about this:
"This thread is started by Zarkov..."
I won't argue with that, buddy; as long as you don't tell me I wrote it.
That kind of unnecessary proclamation, if you will, combined with the essential imperiousness of the thread suggests that Zarkov is merely strutting his stuff, throwing out his chest, and yelling "Have at you, villain."
This is kind of crap is tiresome, and I think the thread should disappear forever or at least be locked.
