Personally, I fully endorse chick pix...

But I think wet1 is trying to maintain a certain level of restraint throughout this forum. I'm a reformed "waste-of-time" threader who has come to understand the trials of message-board moderators.

Wet1 might say something like:

"Sciforums is a place for thoughtful exchange. There are plenty of other places online for chick pix and the like."

Porfiry, posting links to chick pic urls is one of the many concessions I am willing to make to make this live.

What I'm trying to create here is a place where one can see visual candy but where hardcore is weeded out. A decent eyecandy exchange place.

I posted in the Chick Pic thread a few times. At the time I thought it was okay. But now I dont think that its right. Your eating up other peoples bandwidth, your posting images that arent work safe (a bikini is not work safe, trust me).

again!! for the last time. The chick hunk area has nothing to do with degrading or offending. Hardcore has no place here. It's all about celebrating the beauty of the human body, not sick poses. I find no aesthetic pleasure in a hardcore scene, but there is plenty of aesthetic pleasure in a scantily clad (and HOT) model.

Was that necessary? This is precisely what closed the other one. Zero would have liked to have had a thread that showed reasonable human form. An artwork of women depicted as such pulls the subject of thread away from its original intent.
