Basically I trust the Bush Administration because weapons of mass destruction have not yet been found in Iraq.

The logic is, they are looking more dumb everyday because of the stated reason for entering the war, but there is no coverup that I can see. So there may have been some skewed reasons to enter the war, but at least we know that not everything is fake.

Coverups don't work as well when more than one country is involved, like USA and Britian.

But Grey Seal, that's exactly what they want you to think about them. They're giving a false sense of security. They'll probably play on that in the future, "We didn't hide anything then, why would we hide anything now!"

Just keep questioning everything.

Ghassan, you got way too much fun out of that than you should've ;)

So you trust them because they lied outright instead of covering up?

Then you have not yet read the Patriot Act and the new upcoming Patriot Act II.

These laws were passed at a time when the country was weak and it amounted to blackmail. Ofcourse any congress person who opposed the "Patriot Act" would be commiting political suicide...and the radical law passed with only a handful of opposing votes from 1 senator and few representatives.

The Bush Admin. has done a complete 180deg from what they were preaching on their campaigns. As a result, the politics are even more seperated and polarized now than they were under Mr. Clinton.

The Bush Admin. does not beleve in the FOIA and has not disclosed information on many comitees, primarily the Energy Department. (Which is suspected of being loaded with CEO's of the Oil, Coal, and energy industry).

You trust this man who has no respect for the law and the constitution and has violated the Geneva Convention and authorized abuse of POW's in Cuba and the man who has authorized racial profiling and the detainment of US citizens without the due process which is their right.

(As a matter of fact, our Dec. of Independence states "ALL MEN are created equal" Not just US citizens )

Understatement.

So there may have been some skewed reasons to enter the war, but at least we know that not everything is fake.

The reasons are not skewed at all, on the contrary they are very clear cut. It's just the reasons/justifications spoon fed to the public that are skewed.

I see the whole thing a bit differently. From the start I was aginst the war and according to the polls... (Stupid polls) Most people were for the war. Suddenly when things don't work out like they planned and Iraq does not vouleenteer for America to reorganize it, everyone is like, "Hey! You... Bush... this is all your fault." As if it was him making the decision to enter this war. He may somtime make some decisons for himself, but most decisions are made by the people who represent him.

I don't really trust the Bush administration, I more enjoy that they are looking really bad, and this is just another way to point that up. If there is going to be a coverup, we will see it. Otherwise they already have this stuff figured out. Maybe their plan was to get everyone to forget why we even entered the war, but that is not working out completly. We will see.
