"By his words and deeds he chose to place himself above the law. By his words and deeds he has undermined the rule of law in America to the great harm of this nation," .... "By his own words and deeds, he has undermined the truth-finding function of the judiciary, at great harm to that branch of our government. By his words and deeds, he had done great harm to the notions of honesty and integrity that form the underpinnings of this great republic." "We have lost many things over the past few ... trust in public officials, respect for the rule of law, confidence in the truth of the White House's public statements. But perhaps the most tragic loss has been the steady erosion of our societal standards."

Sorry- I'll just switch sides and post as a slow but intelligent Bush supporter. Sorry again, it canna be donne.
Actually, Norsefire, it's from a member of Bush's own party, referring to Clinton back in 1992. You got it hype. Trick question, Raven.
It seems to me that the lesson of the quote is that members of political parties often become overwrought when making accusations against their political opponents. In turn, that makes me wonder whether or not present charges of looming constitutional disaster against the sitting President might not be viewed as wildly overstated 15 years from now.
"In turn, that makes me wonder whether or not present charges of looming constitutional disaster against the sitting President might not be viewed as wildly overstated 15 years from now." It all depends on the victor- either the Constitution, or the consolidation of powers in the Executive Branch. My guess is that our respect for law and democracy will win out. As a result, this Administration will be disgraced more profoundly than any that came before.
Yea but if it had been made in the past, before Bush, you could somehow read it as a prophecy of the Doom that Bush has broughtPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
