It's been a few weeks since the last poll and there have been a few debates, a couple of drop outs and some early primaries. Where's your vote going to today?

Please don't vote if you're not a US citizen or an eligible voter, I'm curious to see what the actual voters here are leaning towards.

I'm not voting because they are all the same, they are owned by corporations that will get what they want while the rest of us eat shit!

Kucinich and Paul aren't, as far as I'm aware.

I'd vote for Jesus after he clears up that whole me-going-to-hell bit. That's a smear that can lose a ton of votes.

???

Where's the 'none of the above' option??

ashura
01-23-08, 08:04 PM
Why should there even be a none of the above option? For third party candidates?

For those of us who can't vote in the election of course...

ive added an option for not voting and not an american, so that people not in the us can view the poll easier

Er, the whole point of the poll was to find out about the actual voters. Non-voters are supposed to, you know, not vote in the poll like I mentioned in the OP. But whatever works, I guess.

Would you care to name the corporations that own Dr. Paul?

I can vote but I won't. Does that clarify it?

There are third party candidates that run, but they don't really get a significant chunk of the votes. When they do, they act only as a spoiler for one of the candidates from the two leading parties.

Nice attempt at covering.
You didn't mention that in the OP; you did it in your edit, after my original post.

Regardless, stop assuming everyone is American; it's sadly stereotypical.

What're you talking about?

1. If you look at the timestamp of my edit and the timestamp of your post, you'll clearly see that I edited before you posted.

2. I obviously wasn't assuming everyone is an American considering my OP.

MOD HAT: I have fixed the poll, drop the argument

ashura if you want an accurate poll then maybe there should be an option for that

I would think that the exclusion of a not-voting/not-american option would be a more accurate presentation of where the sciforums votes will be going. The percentages would accurately reflect the pool of people here that actually intend to vote.

If, instead, you're talking about the 3rd party vote, sure. A generic option like "3rd Party" would work.

mea culpa.

For some reason all the timestamps on SciForums are off by an hour for me.

thats because your timezone is set wrong. If you go into your options you can set the correct timezone

You're right.
For some bizarre reason, it doesn't account for DST anymore..... (it used to.. years ago..).

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I think the next POTUS will be Romney. :) I could be wrong. I wouldn't blame you for leaving if hell froze over and one of them was elected. Remember when all the liberals said they were leaving BOTH times W won? :D I wish they would have. :D

I think i'll move even if Rudy gets elected, but Mitt, eh I'm not sure about the guy, but he isn't enough to make me move. I do plan on spending a few months in central asia in the next couple of years, but if one of those people get elected, then I'll make sure it was more like a couple of years.

Rudy won't get elected. He can't even win FL. Romney will be fine. :)

Mormons don't even believe in the same God.

sandy
01-23-08, 10:43 PM
I know. That's a problem but Romney is the only acceptable candidate. Barbara Bush said "there's room for all kinds of believers". I just don't see anyone else being POTUS.

A lot of people think that mormanisn is a doomsday cult. Is a cult member a good background to be POTUS?

sandy
01-23-08, 11:05 PM
No. I've already said that's a problem but he's the only viable candidate. The rest can't win for a variety of reasons already discussed ad nauseum.

I don't do fortune telling. That's demonic. I just go with my gut. I think Romney is the man. I could be wrong. I am not 100% convinced about him like I was about W. The Mormon thing is still an issue.
