I've often thought about that myself. You can look at it many different ways. Seeing yourself as others see you isn't easy, it means you have to almost literally step out of your own ego and observe your own behavior objectively. I realize that many people that talk and interact with me on a daily basis have somewhat jaded views of me becuase I really don't care what anyone else's opinion of me is. I think they see me as a walking book of useless information. Also they might percieve me to be somewhat jaded myself, I hate my job and usually have no buts about voicing my position on that. All in all, I think perhaps it might be better if we are blissfully ignorant of how other people see us becuase it might therefore influence how we act and that changes how they see us, and so on. It's a never ending cycle of trying to change ourselves to fit into other's perceptions of how we should be. A bad thing in my opinion.

Do you smoke a lot of pot? have you shroomed balls? LSD? Mescal? or anything related?

Who cares what others think, get on with your life and live!

Others' opinions do not matter, since opinion is fleeting and feeble. Knowledge has substance and longevity, so one's own knowledge of self is the only thing to be accounted for.

But knowledge is not truth, the only thing we can be sure of is that truth is truth. There are three sides in a triangle, four in a square. These are the only things we can be sure of, all other *knowledge*, especially that relating to our self, could be an illusion.

How could 3 sides in a triangle not be an illusion? Because humanity has established that as a fundamental truth - humanity as a whole. Humanity as a whole has not established that you personally are "different", "smart", or any other open-ended adjective.
