    Out of curiosity...

There's a lot of options i know, but i've asked this question of people before and some are very particular about the universe they would like to inhabit.

Only moderators can edit polls, otherwise i would. But Dungeons and Dragons is close enough really -- the D&D universe was more or less based on the Lord of the Rings books.

First I was going to pick Babylon 5, my favourite TV show. But really, the Babylon 5 universe isn't too kind on the majority of people. Most people live crap lives in that show. The major character and people in general.

Then I figured maybe Farscape. Similar setting, spaceships and aliens and all. And they have some of the grooviest space-chicks.

But D&D has freaky groovy chicks too. And in that one you get to play with swords and magic, which has to rock.

    So D&D it is.

Depends on which one, but I'd say Star Trek. Most people seem to live decently, at least on the origional Star Treks.

And it'd be uber-nifty to explore that universe.

StarTrek universe is the best one where people seem to live happily in a utopian kinda society. All bad stuff happen out there...
I will be happy if I had a replicator and a holodeck with some good program discs. Let the imagination run wild....

Babylon 5 universe is mostly a super conflict, constant fighting universe that can only see some peace after the Shadow war - yet the earth is dying due to the plague...so no peace there.

Come to think of it...when it comes to imagination, most universes are based on horror stories...even utopia is not utopia (Logans run, Soylent green, HG Wells Time Machine). Somehow most stories show the dark side of the writer... may be that is entertainment...

    May be 3001 Space Odyssey...

Haha I have something in common with truthseeker.

Fixed it now. Changed my quote to something better. It was Cactus, the f*cker.

And kmguru I might agree with you in the 3001 universe, except it's like a ticking time bomb because the monolith makers are on their way (sort of) to destory the Earth. I'd enjoy it while it lasted though, because it does seem like the perfect paradise.

I don't believe Mallory has seen Lexx. I believe in Canada it is called something else. Like tales of the parallel universes or something.

I put D&D cause no Lord of the Rings. I think you guys are right about Star Trek being good for the people living in it, but I love my choice.

I like living in a world where true love is real and magical, and there were still honor and glory and chivalry. Where magic was abroad and their was creatures to slay and esteem to be one in such great deads. Swords, oaths, friendships. And above all adventures.

Its kinda funny though......I actualy have never played D&D.

Joe Pathetic Excuse For A Man:

Whatever the fuck you are, you bizzare little troll. You, after the things you said to Star, have no right to sully the name of Lexx. Fuck you.

I think part of the reason I put D&D is because I also like to believe in honour, heroes, black and white distinctions between right and wrong, et cetera. This world makes it difficult and unrewarding to try to live with honour. In books with knights and dragons and all, you get worlds where honour makes a difference.

We are two different persons. Still .... I didn't do anything wrong. This is getting tiresome.

    Lexx is great.

I picked Star Trek, because like others have said, there's a nice standard of living on Earth, replicators, holodecks... I would definitely get a holodeck for my very own.
