Too true. American restarants serve huuuge portions and our food is not very good. The thing to do is to eat at first generation immigrant restarants.

Well, my Civics teacher said that everyone in Canada was an immigrant, because we all came from a different place. The only true "Canadians" would be the Natives, but then again, didn't they cross over on some ice bridge a long long time ago? *shrug*

In 2000, Latvia's transitional economy recovered from the 1998 Russian financial crisis, largely due to the SKELE government's budget stringency and a gradual reorientation of exports toward EU countries, lessening Latvia's trade dependency on Russia. yes well, the landscapes of the highlands and some other places are just incredible. There are many problems in my country, as in anyone's, but I think we still have some great geographical treasures.

I havent gone to any expedition in Cuzco (where the Inka trail is) but I know it is beautiful...and exhausting, more than 3500 meters above the sea level, hehe. :)

Yes Norway is plenty expensive but recently there has been a sort of a price war on beer :D I work in Oslo but live in Fredrikstad because housing is just too expensive in and around Oslo. That looks like a nice peaceful spot you have there spurious.

I will be moving on though. I had enough of finland.

Actually, it's a very mild cheese, mixed with whipped cream and sugar and some gelatine and it sits on a base made from crushed bicuits and melted butter, which is flattened out and allowed to become hard. The whole thing is put in the fridge to set and then, if you like, you can spread fruit conserve or puree on it. Flavours and textures can range from semi dry and cheesy to moist and creamy and disgustingly sweet, but a good home-made one is to die for.

My house is half way up a hill and is surrounded by small hills with houses and gardens on them. Being only 3km from the beach, I can see the ocean from the eastern and south-facing rooms upstairs.

I think a lap dance in a private booth in a 'gentlemen's club', costs around 20-30 pounds, coffe in a smart cafe 1.75-3.00 pounds, M about 300-500 an ounce (highly illegal), cinema 4 pounds.

I'm not really a fan of Portsmouth. It is the UK's only island city, the home of the Royal Navy...it's about 900 years old...and it's near me. It was rated 3rd worst city in the UK and there's a reported fight every ten minutes.

Granted it is not in beautiful Lisbon, but it is compact, detached, low maintenance. Situated in a highly sought after and picturesque corner of central park NY.

Great thing about this place is my water, gas and electricity rates are competitively priced, mainly due to the fact that the place came with no such services.
Local amenities are close to hand because I can be moved closer to the amenities of my choice(likenext to a public libary for internet use). The lack of double glazing is not really a disadvantage though, as the lack of any windows ensures my heating is quick and efficient. Nice place if I say so.
