Right now I'm in IL where it's snowing. They're predicting up to 13" That on top of the 12" already on the ground in many places. We're
buried.
The view is gorgeous: everything is white and fluffy.
I just feel bad for the people who have to drive today:

The weather doesn't know what to do. After last friday's snowstorm we had +10 temperatures on monday which melted alot of the snow. Now we got hit again.

I am here and it is WAY to warm for this time of year. It should be on average around 3 degrees Celcius, and average maximum temperature of 5-6 degrees Celcius.

It is 9 degrees today, last month is was 14 degrees for about a week or so

Same hear, we usually have at least -10C at this time of the year. Sometimes it's -30C
February should be cold as hell! Climate's changing.
I'm not complaining much though, I like it warmer, especially with my old 1913 year windows.

NYC and I'm used it being somewhere between cold and freezing around this time, but it's been freakishly warm for the season. A light sweater or jacket is what I've been wearing lately.

Well, we should be.. but we place ourselves out of nature as much as we can.

There are so many different explanations for this odd weather.

Some say global warming.
Some say it's just weird weather.
Some say it's a sign of the end times.
Some say it can be scientifically explained.

this morning i packed up and left michigan (east of Flint) at 2am during an Ice storm with unplowed roads for Kentucky. Once we got south of Detroit the roads were finally clear - too clear in fact. To stir up some excitement we promptly located and destroyed a feeding possum, in turn destroying the pretty undercarriage bumper thingy of the car - which we had ample time to check on after taking the detour that led us around the washed out expressway somewhere near Van Buren Ohio. Thankfully, once in Kentucky its been muddy and green, somewhere in the 50's and disgustingly humid. :D

I live in Nashville Tennessee.

We are having insane unseasonable weather this year.... it was almost 80f yesterday :bugeye:. It's supposed to be February.

We were nailed by a bunch of tornadoes & strong storms last night.
No damage in the city itself, but there was quite a bit of destruction elsewhere (Jackson, Memphis, Columbia). I'm sure it made the news --- I think around 50 people died.

It's been in the mid 60s today too.........and it supposed to go down 33f tonight LOL.

Rain in January, last month, in Minnesota - I think 12th consecutive year of January rain.

The 150 year frequency prior to 1995: one year in seven.

Cleveland, Ohio. Rainy. Rainy. RAINY. The river next to my home is flooded and the street crossing it is closed. Schools are out because of flooding. And it's cold... not "snow" cold, but wind-blowing fridgid/slush, rainy 34°F/1°C cold.

It sucks. I got soaked going in to work and took an hour to dry off. Left the damned umbrella in the trunk. Shiat!

When I see something needs to be done I just do it. It's like this I will complain sometimes and say.....HEY couldn't you take the laundry basket and the folded towels that I put on the stairs to go upstairs. You only passed by and had to walk around them a few times.

ya, we got lucking around Knoxville, and only got the wind and rain. No funnel cake clouds, or inland hurricanes. Macon County got demolished. And now it's cold again. John Kerry blames it on global warming. I never knew he was a meteorologist...

They tried to blame the big FL hurricanes on global warming too. Then they stopped. Kerry doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. I can't even imagine that horse face as our POTUS.

Back to the money thing, I normally have my under butler attend to such matters, but lately he's been copping me attitude. I pay him three sheckles a week, but I fear that might not be keeping up with the cost of living. What does a competent under butler need to earn these days?

On the prairie edge of Minnesota the weather has been normal winter pattern (a shade cooler than average) for over a month now.

By which I mean that the sunny, clear days are cold, the cloudy snowy days are warmer, the temperature ranges are ordinary for this time of year, and a few inches of snow have fallen with some of it blowing in the past few weeks.

It feels odd.

Although it did rain again in January, for the 12th or 13th consecutive year (I've lost count). Used to be about one year in seven.
