What do you do when you are alone? How is your behavior different than when you are around your significant other, family, friends, or co-workers? When I am alone I usually turn on some music loud enough to make the floors shake. I dance but never would I dance this way in front of anyone else for I know I would be laughed at. While the dance is an awkward thing to witness it is just me enjoying the moment. Also a behavior that surfaces when I am alone is often the use of mind altering substances. It may stem from when I lived with my parents and had to wait until they were gone or asleep before I could have a drink or succumb to reefer madness. My girlfriend is gone for the week and the moment she left I turned on the music and embarked on a ten hour cleaning spree. The apartment is now spotless and the furniture is arranged to my liking. Not to mention that I enjoyed a few unusual delights in the process. I love being with my girlfriend but I still find happiness easy to achieve when I am alone.
I usually mastrbate when I am alone and than fall asleep immediately. Sometimes I do yoga and dance "fire dance" to myself, self hypnotize myself, no music is required, but sometimes ambient music will do, I got into this trance state...
I also enjoy being alone sipping some good brandy, sitting outside with a nice breeze in the air at night, watching the moon shine and glimmer on the waves of the ocean. An occasional boat will go by with a few lights on which bob up and down through the water as it slowly makes it way into port. I have an owl also that lives near me and it enjoys swooping down into my yard looking for smaller critters to devour. The rustling of the palm trees, the crashing of the waves on the beach shore and the song of the lonesome frog trying to find a mate is a wonderful time to be alone with.
Do you do that in order to disturb and piss off other people in the area ....or so you can purposely damage your ear drums? Baron Max
I like being alone. When I am alone and not at work, I haunt bookshops, I search for strange out of the way shops selling unique stuff. I take round trips on buses. When I am alone and at home, I cook, I read books, I do yoga or meditate. Sometimes, I have a flavor of the moment going on and I'll spend my free time on that. Making a cross stitch picture. Crocheting edges on a handkerchief. Sometimes I dream of the things I would like to do. If I had the time, I would make movies on ordinary people. I would go to people everywhere and ask them the questions that make up life for them. What they think about religion, justice and society. Or writing a book about my mother. That sort of stuff.

I do all of that. I also read at least one book per week and generally two. Not only that but I go away on weekends and visit art museums and lectures, hang out with friends for lunch and dinner and visit my friends and relatives around the continent. I talk to myself about weird things, blare music, read, toke or sleep. sometimes I'll go on adventures.
my days of infatuating over people who can write well or speak well are long since over. and i am very happy about that.
When I am alone, I pray to the lord for forgiveness and ask for salvation. My tired body's wings I rest on the cotton fluffy sheets beside me. "Lord", I ask God, "Guide me through the mist of unknown and through sorrows of known" ... on my knees I look up to the heavens, tears from my eyes form a lake in which I slowly drown, into my reflection. Yet oncemore I see the bright light above me with million sparkling stars to guide me to the heavens once lost. When I am alone, I feel heaven on my shoulders...lay the beautiful spell upon my tired soul.
