Bush is smart not to go down there right away. What can he do? Give a short speach that is devoid of comfort to a city that doesn't even have the ability to recieve TV and radio signals? Force security measures to be devoted to his protection; taking it away from where it is really needed? Just plain get in the way? Wait until things have settled. Then go.

I really liked that movie. As for the topic of day-fucking-one, he should have done more to help, not wait for it to settle down, people are dieing by the hour. it was a pathetic effort, I dont like the finger pointing, and the bush blame game anymore than you do, but its just as moronic to ignore the fact that shitloads of men, women, and children are displaced and dieing because bush cant get the finger out of his ass. even here in britain, 10 miles from my house, a landslide and flash flood happened a few months ago. There were rescue teams there in 30 minutes, and worked through the night for 5 days untill everyone was safe.
He is helping by proxy. His physical presence would only cause problems. Sending troops and aid workers is much more effective.
