Veterans ought to face restrictions and handicaps as well as social stigma and dissaproval; and furthermore, nobody associated with the military in any way ought to receive public funding of any sort, and ideally the military and those associated with it ought to be banned and exiled.

When I go to my Vet Hospital they have always treated me very well. I have never been mistreated there and think that the people there are really caring about my health issues.

 

For once, the US government has made the right assessment.

I'm sure the US civilians would not want to be at the receiving end of what their troops have been doing for the past 50 years.

Did you drop missiles on a lot of people?

 

No, only large 1,000 pound bombs. Those were my orders just as the North Vietnamese were shooting, beheading and killing helpless villagers that would not go along with them.

 

So it was okay to drop bombs on them? By the same logic, since Americans are occupying two countries, is it okay to drop 1000 pound bombs on them?

 

I only followed my orders just as those that were trying to shoot me down were doing.

 

Of course they were trying to shoot you down. If foreign troops were dropping 1000 pound bombs on your country because you were protesting the religious leader they had funded and established rather than the secular government you desired, you would do the same.

 

but they were trying to take controll of South Vietmnam and the South really didn't like them trying to take over their country as well. With Russia supporting the North the South had little defense to keep the North out.

Those stories have been falsified long ago, if not by history, then by what happened after the US left.

The US was instrumental in dividing Vietnam and also in installing the Christian dictator the people did not want.

Really, and just were did all those bullits, rockets, mortars, and artillery shells come form SAM? The one with the Communist Factory markings, how about the Mig-15s, Mig 17s, Mig 21s? The 57mm AAA, 85mm AAA, the SAM missiles?

Now what happened after we left? the fighting didn't stop, Cambodia, Laos, even a boarder war with China,

What about the French? it was their colony, and they are the ones who installed the Catholic Religion in Vietnam.
