Hmm, at what point in our lives? At one time, I would have considered myself lower middle class, if not lower class. Now, however, after a lot of work and a lot of saving and lot of good, smart investements, I'm well above any of those. I would also guess that I could not have done that in any other nation on Earth except the USA! Baron Max
I am the rightful and sole ruler of the visible universe. Top that! (currently, middle to slightly upper middle)
Maybe, just maybe, but I don't think it's nearly as easy. Ditto for Australia. I just don't think any other nation makes it so easy to climb the ladder as it is in the USA. Do you?? If so, what nation(s)? Baron Max
Not as easily you are right. No one can best the states in that. They are actually setting quite a standard.
Upper class. Because I'm in the top income tax bracket, live in a posh area and generally have a high standard of living.

class isnt based on Income or money, its based on morals, your daily rituals, where you hang out/buy clothes and so on.. i wish people knew this
how about new zealand? when i was born my mum was a full time mother, my father had to bike to work in order to stretch the benefit far enough to meet his paycheque, and we were only able to afford mortgage payments on our crummy 3 bedroom house because my grandfather worked part time and chipped in for us. 16 years on, weve left the city, my father is a head social worker, my mother is a secretary, theyve payed off the mortgage on their 5 bedroom house, both my parents own new(1990s) cars, and now were considering purchasing some farmland for me and my father to work. only unlike americans, my parents are still socialists at heart, frequently donate to charity, and vote respectively for the greens and the progressives.
