I don't find most horror movies 'scary'. Scary needs to be more subtle. There are 'disturbing' movies I find a bit scary.

We're also impacted by our age and when we see a movie. I saw Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein when I was about 8 and I had to sleep in my sister's bed for a week. There was also a sci-fi 'Devil Girl From Mars' ...saw it when it when I was 10 or so :eek:....saw it again as an adult and realized how corny it was. Even the witch in Snow White scared the crap out of me.

Event Horizon was pretty nuts.
