I used to watch this cartoon when I was a wee lad so were looking at 83-86 or so maybe. It was on, erm, not 100% but prolly saturday mornings. If I remember right it was a group of teenagers in space fighting these massive brown vine things that were taking over, but thet may just be an eppisode I remember *shrugs* Hmm, i'm pretty sure the overall look and feel was very similar to Ulysses too, oh and it's not robotech which a m8 suggested... i remember this teenage boy being prolly the star and he had ver short brown hair which I think was curly....
