View Full Version : What is the Bible good for? (continuation thread) Joe Nobody 04-27-02, 10:22 AM Some argue that it mediates salvation. Joe Nobody TruthSeeker 04-27-02, 12:35 PM Welcome to sciforums! :) What do you mean by "continuation thread"...? Well... yes... it mediates what is called salvation. It actually helps you to rediscover yourself, to remember who you really are... You can also read the Proverbs and see the principles of the Bible... :) Love, Nelson MastemaRose 04-27-02, 03:45 PM Nelson, Here we meet again, on the same subject. HaHa.. This is not only a reply for you.. but for others.. My opinion on the whole.. "what is the bible really for" question... I think the whole thing is a shield for people. You don't know how to deal with it, so you sit down with something you have tricked your mind into thinking you need. My grandfather died a few years back ... and I had been walking with an older couple.. Never really had a problem with there religion, until they tried to shove it on me. When a person dies people are effected. That does not mean they need to start going to church on Sunday.. Or that "God had his reasons". By saying this I might come off as bitter, an in your case you might tell me that I am just mad at him. Anyway, this has gotten out of hand.. I still stand by my opinion. ---MastemaRose @-->-- TruthSeeker 04-27-02, 03:55 PM The Bible is just a mirror... TruthSeeker 04-27-02, 04:49 PM 469.Origami. I personally find this one hard... the Bible is too thick to do origami... Besides that... it's a sin... Love, Nelson Avatar 04-27-02, 05:01 PM I like oragami and there are those silk paper bibles ;) TruthSeeker 04-27-02, 05:08 PM Silk paper Bibles...? Avatar 04-27-02, 05:25 PM yes, haven't you seen? oragami are so elegant...I can't make thm:( unfortunately TruthSeeker 04-27-02, 06:18 PM No I never seen them... I'm not good at them either... It seems that the Bible can't be used as origami for you... Avatar 04-27-02, 06:23 PM I respect every written book tht has a value and bible certainly does....only my interpretation of it's value I can quess is differen't thn yours . Cheers! TruthSeeker 04-27-02, 06:25 PM I respect too... But I also respect Taoist Philosophy about material things... ;) SpyFox_the_KMeson 04-29-02, 09:23 AM If origami is a sin, are all the Japanese going to hell? And I wouldn't use it for rolling papers, the cheap glue on the pages can cause you to asphyxiate. |
