Yup. You need a Bit Torrent agent. Shareaza has one built in or you can get others. Do a google search. I'm too lazy to do it for you.

Ahh, so Shareaza incorporates bit torrent into it? How does it work? For instance, the files I've gotten from bit torrent come from seperate web sites. You download the torrent file which points to the files in a particular node or whatever they call it. It all depends on how many seeds there are and how many people are downloading files. The quality of media I've downloaded this way has been very good, but the speeds are low. Maybe the speeds are better if you're a member of the herd downloading Brittany and 50 cent?

Oh, here's some links:

Bit Torrent Home Page: Bit Torrent Home Page.
Suprnova: Lot's of downloads.
MVGroup: Science Documentaries.
Digital Distractions: A variety of downloads. Hmm, it won't link for some reason. Here's the unadulterated version: http://digitaldistractions.org/torrents.php

That's all I have. Maybe someone could post some others.

Well, if you have them associated with your Bit Torrent agent, you just click on them. Otherwise, open them from inside your agent. The more people who download, the faster the downloading which means if there are not a lot, it can be frustrating.

Brittany and 50 cent? You should use Bit Abhorent for those.

The .torrent files contain the filestructure contained in the torrent, the server information that tracks the torrent and originates it, etc.

If you get BitTorrent from its homepage and install it, then clicking on a .torrent link or doubleclicking on a .torrent file will ask you where to put it and will start (or continue) it.

You get out what you put in. That is integral to the system.

I imagine it all depends on what you're getting. I have downloaded obscure heavy metal albums, obscure television series. But, even when downloading a popular recent movie, my download speed never exceeded 20 Kbps, in fact, it was closer to 4 or 5 most of the time. I did download one thing that hit the limit of the download speed. It was the second or third thing I downloaded through bit torrent and was hopeful that it was trend that would continue. It didn't. I don't remember what it was. Maybe I'll give this bit tornado a shot.

The number of seeds, the number of clients, etc.
I imagine it does depend on the conditions of the torrent.

My *vast* three or four torrents' experience is, of course, overwhelming.

They have all been high-demand torrents with pretty high rates.

Best of luck with the bit tornado thing!
