View Full Version : "What if there was a war and no one went?"
TheAZCowBoy 03-07-03, 01:14 AM The world is about to explode folks--and Armageddon seems closer than at any time--except for 1962 when the Cuban Missile crisis put NORAD on DECON 1 high alert and US bombers and missiles were all gassed up--their computers programed--their bombs and warheads activated, while 5 Russian ships, full of IRBM and SAM missiles were 500 Kms from Havana with US nuclear submarines shadowing them with locked and loaded nuclear torpedos --a time when JFK sent Khruschev his famous message: "You will not pass mutha!" ( the "mutha" is my translation--sorry folks! ). :)
But sorry to say, the ignoramous in the oval room today is no JFK--hell, he's not much more than the "great white hope" that many right wingers hope will one day matastizise into another Ronald R. Reagan ( Fat chance! ), the snoozing "God father" of the Republican right. ( personally I liked Spiro Agnew better--a Republican crook that walked around with a puffed out chest--and never vehamently denied that he was a thief, even after becoming a convicted felon! :) ).
Whilst most of the world has turned against our Whitehouse terrorist and "Crusader" Rabbitt, the Bush ( league ) administration mistakedly interprets this to mean, a desire by the world at large to return to the frontier "Cowboy" methods of Wyatt Erp and/or his violent side kick, wild man, Yosemite "Sharon" Sam ( just kidding ). :)
One has to believe that Bush ( league ) has watched too many John Wayne ( Gacy? ) movies and thinks of himself as the bloodied hero and leader of the old Crusaders and inquisitioners sent by "God" to cleanse the world of all the "undesirables," but the world has this guys true numbers, all right, 666!
We can only cross our fingers and hope that the "thrashing" the UN has in store for Crusader rabbit and his CHICKEN HAWKS next week will prove sufficient enough to bring DIM BULB & Company down to earth and perhaps even bend his "halo" sufficiently enough to let him know that he is in no way "inspired by Jesus," remember, his lies and half truths during his campaign speeches in 2000, folks? :(
For Jesus was no head executioner--either in your bloody racist Texas--nor in the Middle East! :p
"You're going to hell, G. W.!" ( and we're not throwing you an asbestos rope, nyet, nunca, neva! ). And you won't even be able to appeal God's supreme decision to do so--and we're not helping you like the US Supreme Court did in 2,000, ya hear, BOY?!!!!! :(
TheAZCowBoy,
The Marquis 03-07-03, 02:15 AM You're a complete nut, you know that?
This is one ofthe most confusing threads I have ever read, and from me that's saying something
sycoindian 03-07-03, 04:03 AM i was laughin while readin the entire post.. cuz i didnt understand one thing you said cowboy... plz pass the pipe here.. i wanna see wat u got in there... ;)
I thought this would be on something like the morals of soldiers or at the very least the pay of the soldiers!! You started out strong and then kinda lost the plot after the first sentence
Maveric 03-07-03, 05:55 AM nahhh thor, i quite liked his first paragraph....then i lost who he was talking about, went a bit religious for me......any way, the anser to your question cowboy....'what if there was a war and nobody came?' then quite simply there wouldnt be a war.
i would reply with a post worth reading had i understood the topic of the thread, sorry, nice try though. :p
Psycho-Cannon 03-07-03, 06:00 AM I dunno America is going down this line of waging wars without leaving the comfort of America ^_^.
Not counting proxy forces (Cause that counts as someone ^_^) they are starting down the dangerous road of victory by blitz with growing use of Missiles and bombs (Iraq is the first test).
Also their increased drive to develope unmanned Millitary vehicles, not just the drones but they latest toy is an unmanned tank that can be used for recon and to go into unsuitable, too dangerous areas, i'll get the link from Rueters in a sec.
Soon they will be waging wars but nobody will go ^_^
Maveric 03-07-03, 06:05 AM hmmmm, ok, i'll shut up. :)
Psycho-Cannon 03-07-03, 06:28 AM bah i can only go back so far i delete my links more than 2 months old =(
I need to change that archive rule.
I found this one from Afghanistan though.
The "Nintendo generation" of warriors ^_^ hehe.
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=technologyNews&storyID=2300137&src=eDialog/GetContent
A robot called Matilda being used to test atmosphere, check for mines and people etc.
Also that idea of using porpoises and Seals (the animal) to train them to raise flags / alarms / beacons and follow enemy divers and handcuff them lol, do they count as "someone?"

Yeah see, thats why all those troops are over there getting ready to attack Iraq.
Not counting proxy forces (Cause that counts as someone ^_^) they are starting down the dangerous road of victory by blitz with growing use of Missiles and bombs (Iraq is the first test).
Bombs have been used before in just about every war! Granted it won't be used like how they were in the first Gulf War, but with no UN backing, the Government will have to use bombs to conserve troops.
Also their increased drive to develope unmanned Millitary vehicles, not just the drones but they latest toy is an unmanned tank that can be used for recon and to go into unsuitable, too dangerous areas, i'll get the link from Rueters in a sec.

Unmanned drones? Not a bad idea. Seeing as how every Government in the world will get them about the same time that we will, instead of men fighting men, it'll be robots fighting robots! No loss of life whatsoever, I thought you peace activists would be all for that? Right? And Im still waiting on that link to.
use some imagination
bush declares war
soldiers lay down their weapons, refuse to fight, take the first flight home, etc
the idea that shit is inevitable is more suited for insects rather than humans.
wake the hell up!
Psycho-Cannon 03-07-03, 09:12 AM I guess i didn't explain myself properly.
What i meant was:
a) Waging war without leaving home.
I know they have mass troops at the moment but what i meant was with the Growing popularity of "Shock and Awe" and such techniques in ruling circles, pummeling an enemy and "Everything that makes his country livable" with mass airstrikes and Missile launches, most of which can be done from a nice long way away and by unmanned craft.
This technique of pummeling an enemy into total submission without the risk of friendlt casualties, if it works, will only grow in popularity with the Bush administration and you can expect to see more of it.
The ground forces will only go into mop up what little if any resistnace is left.
b) Unmaned drones.
They already have them and are using them.
There not called drones i guess if thats what i called them.
The unmaned spy planes that they also have equiped with missiles.
If anyone can tell me what those are called id be gratful.
Brining your own troops home in body bags is never good for support at home so I wouldn't be suprised if as technology grows, especially with the massive defence budget in the US you see a few more ideas like this come along.
I mean theres no more difficulty equiping the range of robots and such like that they have already deployed for Mine detecting and surveilence and the such like with a few nasty bits and pieces like they planes ^_^.
I dont think we will see anywars very soon with no Humans at all sent by one or both sides but its a very real possability in the future if things keep going this way and it would solve a lot of countries "recruitment shortages" :bugeye:
This "Future" is just as hypothetical as the Topic but i guess linking the Iraq "Shock and Awe" tactic as an example of a possability i was asking for this so my bad.
I dont see it being all countries getting this at the same time though, America is outspending every other country in the world in the field of developing its millitary so i'm sure they will be the first with this kinda tech in this "possable" future.
Again sorry for linking to contemporary issues it was silly to do with a purely "Hypothetical" topic but it made sense to me when i was writting it. (That and i had just read the article on American's Nintendo Generation" of millitary specialists so it was in my head)
Psycho-Cannon 03-07-03, 09:16 AM Oh and too be fair that last comment about robots v robots etc was just to make me look stupid wasnt it ^_^.
I really have got to stop making that so easy *sighs*

TAC responds: Hum, sorry folks. Life is too complicated to try and educate you with one hard thrust of my be-Jeweled sceptor.
I suggest you stay tuned on a regular basis folks because if you "Read TheAZCowBoy's words of wisdom" regularly--call your counselor for help in understanding his words of wisdom, if you must--indeed, I promise, you "will" not die stupid!
TheAZCowBoy,
PS: I must admit I was wondering why Psycho-Cannon also "got lost in space(?)."

TAC's Epilog:
Recommended reading for Marquis & Thor: ( including, my probation officer, FISHMAN, if he so desires ) and of-course, those others seeking infinate wisdom..... :)

2. The Little Prince x Antone de Saint Exupery
Quote: The little prince's travel's brought him to earth where he learned, finally from the Fox, the secret of what is really important in life."

Psycho-Cannon 03-07-03, 10:44 AM Az....normally you make some great posts in the 2 days i've been reading but today.....man i think you got a bad batch of weed last night......
TheAZCowBoy 03-07-03, 11:19 AM ((((YAWN))))
You cats been watching "The Disney Channel" too long, Jajajaja :) or is it THE FOX JEWS NETWORK, huh? :p
Next thing we'll have BIG Momma Flora preaching to the choir instead of TAC, ((((SHUDDER)))).
Oh well,
TheAZCowBoy
Pssst, educating the masses can be a thankless job. :D No wonder 8 year olds are weaving carpets in Afghanistan, India and Sudan and others stitching together CALVIN KLEIN jeans in Schnectady, New York--for $3.50/hr in Rabbi owned sweatshops! :p ( Actually, they serve as "cover" for their ecstasy drugs businesses ).
Now you know, huh Psycho-Cannon?

No but I'll be so coked up that I can actually understand what your saying.
Oh and too be fair that last comment about robots v robots etc was just to make me look stupid wasnt it ^_^.
No. I seriously thought that that was the topic!

If your an educator, then I feel sorry for the students. As for the sweat shops, thats Afghanistans problem, and how most of those cultures work. Considering that they are paid an American $3.50 is a lot. They don't have to abide by the minnimum wage law, but I assure you, $3.50 is a lot to them.
Plus most children work from the day there born, its how some of those cultures work. They have better work ethics then we do.
The Marquis 03-07-03, 12:01 PM Read 'em TAC... and you're still a nut. Squirrels are lined up all over the country waiting to drag you off into storage ;)

Squirrels don't eat viagra tainted meat my son--it raises havoc with their sex lives and makes it "hard" to get into their tree nests, LOL! :D
TAC, "to know him is to love him!" Email message received from: Natacha Tsaregorodtseva from Petropovlovsk/Kamchatsky, Russia, this day!
Eat your heart out Marquis!
PS: Have you picked up your sweethearts blue mini-skirt "burka" from the cleaners for your scheduled weekend partying"
Um...
::turns around and walks out::
Psycho-Cannon 03-07-03, 01:55 PM Someone..please subdue him before this thread is lost forever....for the good of man kind..do it...
shadows 03-07-03, 11:04 PM it is possible to have a ground war in a few years without infantry but just pilots in a bunker like norad using remote controls to fly the planes, guide the tanks, artillary, and armored assualt veichles. Hell it is possible now if you want to spend 100 billion to outfit an army group that could be catapulted into space and drop down anywhere on the planet in just afew hours.
immane1 03-07-03, 11:25 PM TAC,
I find it more plausible that you read Dr Seuss than anything else.
shadows 03-07-03, 11:33 PM I haven't read much doctor suess pass 2nd grade when he died and we had to read his books to remember him. Maybe once at the doctor's office when I was in 5th grade.
Psycho-Cannon 03-08-03, 01:42 AM Thanks for reminidng me, a little of topic maybe but what happed to that space catapault idea.
Lauching a high orbit craft straight up into the stratosphere and then it comes back down again at its destination, you can travel around the world in under a few hours ^_^.
And as for spending billions outfitting the forces, just wait till you see the next Budget after Iraq ^_^.
Welfare - 0 , Millitary - 1
shadows 03-08-03, 01:47 AM ya, im still new to this site and I hope to break a hundred tomarrow. Ya the budget to the war in korea will be messy
Psycho-Cannon 03-08-03, 01:57 AM It will have to be given old Kim is more capable of Slapping America back than Iraq is.
And like i say there are a few big "Players" with vested interests in making sure NK doesn't go the way of Hiroshima namely China.
I'm glad to see China has increased its Defence budget and Starting working out its Millitary arm now unfortunatly its exhaberating the FInancial problems there and Distracting from the whole move to improve human rights but at least i'm more confident even GWB will have to think twice before lauching nukes at China (At this point i'll just say my folks are actually from Taiwan so we dont get along with China too well lol but still i feel obligated to protect the both of them)
TBH i think re:China America will use more of its Economic Strength to bully them than attack, even Hitler wasn't that stupid....
shadows 03-08-03, 08:54 AM Isn't that why jappan attacked us?

TAC Responds: Hey Immane1, It so happens that the books, THE LITTLE PRINCE and ANIMAL FARM are world reknown classics--there are lessons to be learned about life and Netheandral man's decendents and their superficiality from these two "works of art." Guess you never made it past your GED final's, huh? :)
Sad, indeed--really sad! :D
Oh well! :p
There are so many things about life that people could learn by just reading about other people's experiences and especially their mistakes. Too bad our resident "Terrorist-R-US" in the Whitehouse has never been too much into books, huh?
I guess :m: was the mind expanding "food for thought" G. W. Bush used while studying for his finals at Yale when LSD was in short supply, huh Immane1?" :p
Maybe if we could squeeze all this knowledge ( The Little Prince/Animal farm ), into a bottle of Jack Daniel's or Shmiroff vodka and send it back in time in our "Challenger" time machine, ole jerko would not be the man the world has grown to hate as--TA DA........ Prez DIM BULB!
TheAZCowBoy,
Near as I can decipher, The original post was something to the effect of: Bush is pushing the world to the brink, and he doesn't have the neurons to walk backwards, that added with an assertion that his public support is dropping in the US, and he probably won't be re-elected. SO how's that for a translation?
AZ: Animal farm was pretty good, but 1984 was more entertaining and thought provoking imho. And if you wan't a really good read try: Thus Spake Zarathustra, by Neitzche, should be a free download from http://promo.net/pg/ .

Imperial Japan decided exactly what Bush has decided.
That America's growing power and policies posed a direct threat to Japan and its "Political and strategic interests" and decided the best way to avoid the threat of American attack was to employ "Pre-emptive warfare".
They were subsequently bombed and the survivors put on trial and executed for waging agressive warfare.
Suprising isn't it that not so long after now the Bush camp is embracing the exact same tactics in the name of "Democracy"
shadows 03-10-03, 06:21 PM the japs attacked because they say us embargo them and then they say the anti war protestors as a sign of weakness.
Psycho-Cannon 03-11-03, 08:17 AM Yay, to all you who still think the bombing of bagdhad will be clinical and is aimed to "reduce" civilian casualties read the paper today (Unless your in the US of A in which case i suppose you wont hear about it).
They USA has also revealed that along with the Cruise missles, Dumb bombs and regular missiles they are planning to use on Bagdhad (Even the speculaiton of nukes and "Daisy cutters" which are specifically designed to indiscriminently kill all human targets within a large radius of its explosion - http://www.guardian.co.uk/flash/0,5860,588916,00.html"
They now also have a "Super Bomb"
This was in the Evening standard when i went to get my sarnies for lunch.
"The Giant Device contains 21,000lbs of High Explosive and dwarfs the huge Daisy Cutter"
"The Pentagon plans to use test this bomb and videotape the results as a warning to Iraq of what the US could inflict"
"The cloud of its explosion was almost as large as a small atomic blast"
Trying to reduce civilian casualites my arse.
"The development shows the length to which US Millitart planners are ready to go but risks an international outcry and yet more opposition in the UN"
