How are you to understand etc how you are to know oneself.
Seems like a tricky question to me.

YOU, ARE YOU...... any attempt to aviod it will be met with disappointment.

the good news is...

you can train yourself to be who you.... want to be..

that should be your focus.

becoming... that which you want to be.

Seems like a tricky question to me.

Look at what you are not - by elimination you will learn what you are.

Anything you can think of as being youself will proove (under self examination) to not be yourself.

Yet you still are.

So what is left once you have removed everything?

The answer is almost certainly ineffable...

That's a rockin word! "ineffable" :)
Anyway..................
So "know yourself", and the trickies,

including: ...how are we to know, for every individual, for me, for instance, that I, myself, am able to talk, all of these things and removing things as you say, ...most definately that is very tricky?

Mt your posts are always full of interest
I just don't understand

I remember Nietzsche saying something about this, this was probably a side/part interest. Even though I shouldn't be a reader,

Sometimes you can gain better understanding of a question by asking the converse. What does it mean to not know yourself?

We all have that problem at certain times and to a certain extent. Some people have it often and deeply. Think about the people like that whom you know, imagine them being able to solve their problem, and see where it would lead them.
