Hmm seems like ET goes through a lot of trouble to hide from us but you never know what might be going on there. A possible war could be taking place among alien nations and allies could be contacting each other though secret coded messages through practices like the one mentioned on that site. But that's far fetched....just like everything concerning space
To me it seems logical to think that any intelligent life that we may encounter ( if they exist ) would be predatory in nature. Intelligent life may also mean the development of `morals`, but those morals may differ from our own concepts. <i>Computer simulations of virtual lifeforms always evolve into the basic forms of herbivore , parasite, predator etc.</i> It maybe that any lifeforms that have been broadcasting openly have already been `assumulated`... Well if u b askin me, i really dont know there is life out there, but if they b so smart, they would have foun us already. i really dont think that if we encountered aliens anything would improve. for 1 reason, our government would want to sudy them and they would want to study us. but any, i cant say that nothin is out there, but i'll say this much, if there is, its not comin here.
Heh Think about it though, we're at the point where we send messages by waves of energy to each other... imagine a civilization that was unhindered in its evolution for millions of years. It's not that far fetched if you think about it... their technology would probably be leaps and bounds above anything that we actually havent even come up with yet. We probably can't even begin to fathom the types of civilizations/intelligences that exist. We're probably extremely infantile in the technological sense... and spiritual? haha forget about that, this is Earth we're talking about here. Things people regularly would mock like the types of technologies seen in star trek or whatnot are or probably have been real at one point in the existence of the universe. Infinite possibilities, if we cant even see the limits of the universe... why do we put limits on our perception.

Re: Heh your probably right, but if their intelligence is so high, then why dont they come over and study us? i dont know, there probably is something out there, we just havent found it. all i can say is that we may never find it and it may never find us. i'll believe when i see, or maybe i will believe even if i dont, i just got to give it a little more thought.
