First thought...impossible...second thought. If it ever becomes possible, it seems we'll be able to do it artificially without a woman or a man before that.

When a uterus is on organ donation or made synthetically.

Nice website. There are many interesting bits of information that I was completely unaware of !!! Thank you for the link.

In all honesty I think it comes down to the fact that men are just not ready to give birth to babies. I mean think about it most men shudder at the idea when you even mention it. Second, off as it was already said, they will be able to artificially make babies before such a thing will ever happen anyways.

Why should they, I mean it's not natural is it. Men wanting babies should adopt them, have a surrogate mother or marry/live with a woman and have children together.

Then what would differentiate between male and females?

I hear that uterus transplants are already possible (from a woman to a man) making them actually work in a man is another thing entirely, of course.

My reply to the sentiment that it's just not natural: So what? When has doing what is "natural" ever been a real concern in human life? We find ways to work around, or manipulate our environment. We make it work for us, rather than simply being at it's mercy, that's what separates us from the beasts!

Well chromosomes mostly, but other than that not a whole hell of a lot (probably have to work on testicle implants for women in order to bring it even closer, haha). Does there have to be a big ol' difference? Embrace androgyny! It provides so many more possibilities for adaptability than normal sex and gender roles!

There are a lot of transexuals who would be interested. Most who opt for sex operations get their penuses split down the middle and pushed inside. Then they pretend to be a woman. Looks to me like pregnancy is the next obvious step. So long as there are commercial plastic surgeons then this kind of weird medical science is inevitable. Transplanting a uterus sounds bizarre. Would it carry the donors DNA in the eggs or the beneficiaries? Would the body require anti-rejection drugs for this transplant and wouldn't this be harmful to an embryo?

I 'think' that if society ever gets to the point where women ask their partners to carry a child for them a lot of men will be emigrating to the Middle East and starting new lives away from Western "freedom". Thats just too strange. I'd be on the first plane out of here. Get myself a harem. It's getting to the point where you don't know who is male and who is female in the West.

if men had babies then the wouldn't be men....they'd be women! that is, afterall, the defining factor of the sexes. can have babies or can't have babies. why go through all that trouble to make a man a breeding woman when there is already too much breeding going on? just to say you did it?
