Its my hypothesis that one day we will be able to create "mini' atmospheres,
for future space stations and space travel.

The hell with space stations and space travel, we may need them right here on
Earth in certain areas (ex. Mexico City) :D

Take care. ;)

Atmos is Greek for vapour. Sphaira is Greek for sphere. A planetary sciences term for an envelope of gas around a planet. But of course it's come to mean simply gas we breathe. So that's what constitiutes an atmosphere.

We need something to enclose the place we need to create the atmosphere and injet the gas. My imagination!
Cover up Mexico City.;)

I couldn't help myself. Actually the definition for atmosphere is very broad. Venus has an atmosphere, but it would not be a very friendly one. I think you are talking about the Earth's atmosphere. In that case it would be any self- sustaining environment capable of supporting life. My guess is that we would need a plant-animal life cycle capable of producing O2 and CO2.
