Ding DING DING we have a winner.

It's hard to "miss" anything when you no longer are conscious.

According to Nietzsche perhaps, I just happen to know better.

Hypothetically speaking, if there were such a thing as consciousness after death, I think it would totally depend on what the afterlife was like.

I assume all the religious afterlives are all preposterous (Nirvana, Valhalla, Heaven, Hell, Elysium, the Hale Bopp UFO) so what would it be like?

    According to no one.

Why are you so blessed to know what is unknown to the rest of us?

Geez Nietzsche, I think you'll find it was a rhetorical question.
Don't worry it will warm up soon and the cogs will move a little quicker.

    I'll miss the ocean.

Well, like some others here, I'm willing to take a punt and say: The thing I will probably miss most (of all) is being able to think about what I'm missing out on.

So that would be: my brain and nervous system (one of which, the vagus, was once believed to be the seat of consciousness). And yes, sometimes I think with my stomach--perhaps food will be the thing I miss most (or maybe being able to remember what food tastes like, since I won't).

Nothing of course. I wouldn't be able to miss anything since I would be dead.

You can't see the future unfold now. You can only see the present, the future doesn't exist yet.
