I will miss nature the most, some people second and books last. How about you, what are you going to miss when your gone the most?
Hypothetically speaking, if there were such a thing as consciousness after death, I think it would totally depend on what the afterlife was like. I assume all the religious afterlives are all preposterous (Nirvana, Valhalla, Heaven, Hell, Elysium, the Hale Bopp UFO) so what would it be like?
Geez Nietzsche, I think you'll find it was a rhetorical question. Don't worry it will warm up soon and the cogs will move a little quicker. I'll miss the ocean.
Well, like some others here, I'm willing to take a punt and say: The thing I will probably miss most (of all) is being able to think about what I'm missing out on. So that would be: my brain and nervous system (one of which, the vagus, was once believed to be the seat of consciousness). And yes, sometimes I think with my stomach--perhaps food will be the thing I miss most (or maybe being able to remember what food tastes like, since I won't).
