I find these:

I never see them move, so I presume they are dead.. Just wondering what they are?

Thanks :), but It was more luck than smarts unfortunately.
Since it looked sort of like a lady-bug (dome shaped round insect), I figured it was a type of beetle ---- and since it loitered around the house plants, I figured it was probably a pest.

I googled "beetle + pest", and this is the google image result from the third page

I was convinced it was the same beetle (and posted the reply) after comparing the spoon-shape of the antennas --- which closely matches this pic:
