Sabaton is/are from Sweden. I dunno if I'd call it death metal (are you allowed to use keyboards in death metal ? ...I'm so out of touch on this stuff ). Most of their material is about war, though - plus the vocals are pretty much "argh-itty argh" - which I guess makes it close enough.
I Think I Need a New Heart - The Magnetic Fields http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yd9nKsKC7Ow (This is not the band in the video... it's some crazy teens.)
It's power metal. You are right that death metal doesn't typically use keyboards in this way. Also, death metal usually uses a death growl, or "cookie monster" vocals.
heh... I forgot about the cookie monster criteria. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Now, for some Russki metal... Krechenty Ognem - by Ария
Seems such a long time ago Oh, yeah. It was "Public Enemy #1", by Mötley Crüe. The game was inspired by a high school teacher who once included an extra-credit question on our midterm exam that read, "What two bands did I listen to while driving to work this morning?" (Guns 'n' Roses and Grand Funk Railroad; I forget what the actual clues were.)
I was thinking this was another "what's on your turntable" thread, but apparently not. This could be an interesting game. Someone post another one!
