Someone enlighten me please: Has Athelwulf been banned the other day? Why? And Lou too? Where is the bannings thread?
Ha! Are you serious? You're right. The wolfboy hasn't logged on since the 28th. There must be a reason behind that. I had caught the banned in Lou's user title but Athelwulf doesn't bear such a stigma. I had suspected that Lou might have been banned (most likely a temp ban) for insulting and I know that he had grown weary of Athelwulf's recent spate of lippiness. I also know that Athelwulf had been warned to chilll out on the lippiniess by Goofyfish with the warning of banning. Perhaps they couldn't help themselves? And caused each to get banned? Funny stuff really. Especially since I have the suspicion that Athelwulf is one of those who overutilizes the report button when he starts feeling put upon. Could be wrong about that. As to the banning thread, it disappeared some months ago. I don't know why and I wish that it would be returned. It doesn't need to be updated for every joker that gets banned. Only for those who are established members of the community. Edit: But no. That doesn't fit. Lou's last post was on the early hours of the 2nd while Athelwulf hasn't been around for three days prior to that. So. Don't know.
All I know is that I have seen both (at different times though) with "Banned" under their names. So I wondered.
The thread was unstuck for reasons unknown (even though it was I that did it) and has been returned to the top of the forum. :m: Peace.

Starthane Xyzth was banned for reposting a thread that was closed for obvious reasons. It's a form of overriding.
For the record, I was banned purposefully through a sinister plot, devised by tiassa in collaboration with the deceptively ingenius athelwulf. Tiassa pm'd athelwulf(I assume) and encouraged him to make a post alot like the rest of athelwulf's posts, really fucking stupid and annoying to such an extent that it is physically impossible for me to ignore it. Now this is where it gets interesting, when I predictably attacked athelwulf, quenching my thirst for justice, tiassa actually deleted my post, BUT he let the offending athelwulf post remain. A blatant affrunt to my person. Which is when I realised he was toying with me and actually wanting me to go off. But I wouldn't fall for it so, as ghandi would have, I merely put the post back, without any fanfare. THEN, he editted that post and replaced it with a taunting threat, and remarkably STILL let athelwulf's post remain, shining in all it's intact glory, razzing my very value system. Tiassa's threats at this stage were akin to asking the paraplegic "why don't you get up?" while pushing him down repeatedly and rubbing his face in the dirt, not to mention being the very person who actually gave the paraplegic his condition. I now realised he was mad with power, I even suspected already he was plotting to get me banned. But I held back, unlike the paraplegic who merely would have used it's absurdly muscular forearms to snap tiassa's birdish gypsy neck like I twig, I took deep breaths, and discretely and politely editted his edit to make it look like he said he was going to fuck himself. Obviously a very restrained and light retaliation considering the hideously disturbing oppression I was under. But technically against board rules, and ofcourse the gravity of tiassa's mind games would be hard to spot for the average self absorbed sciforumer, and even harder for the other moderators who don't follow the stories but rather scan for the proverbial "typos". So Tiassa reaped the bounty of the seeds he diabolically planted with forethought, and presented the harvest to the powers that be. He exhibitted the clear violation of board rules which I committed neatly in a basket, without the incriminating stems attached. And they, almost forgivably, said "yep, thats against the rules" and I was banned. I assume tiassa then smirked smugly, perhaps celebrated with a bowl and a tune on his rusty harmonica which he stole off a blind child before having the nerve to come back to the scene of the crime and play dumb. Check out the "how about an open government" thread and take note of the date on tiassa's post where he boasts about how I won't respond. He knows I'm banned. Clearly this shows what kind of character he is and what kind of twisted mind games he is capable of. Yes I broke board rules, and yeah "way to ban", but there's a bigger story here. I won't be beaten by tiassa like this again. I can play these games too.
Just for the record: This thread has been started by Goofyfish, not by me. In another thread, I asked about the bannings, and Invert and I had a short conversation. Whereupon our posts there had been removed, and this thread started.
