Inspector Craig attended the call from Mr. A, and entered the closed display room of the magnificent A's house. With a quick sweep of his eyes, inspector Craig noted that the room was round (no corners), to the left there was a waiter, next to him a little beverage table with 5 glasses filled with chopped ice and some bottles, to the center there was a little table with a small open chest (Obviously something was missing), to the right there was Mrs R in front of a Renoir, then there was Mr. P in front of a Picasso, and then Mr. R, in front of a Rembrandt. Beside Mr.R was Mr A. No more furniture nor appliances than those were in the room. Mr A explained:
-Inspector Craig, I entered my guest to show them my treasures. First I showed them the beautiful collection of diamonds that were in the chest and are now missing. And then each one of us went to admire my paintings.
-My guests are standing right where they were at the time I discovered the disappearance.
-As you can see, we all gave our backs to the diamond's table to see the pictures. And everyone was admiring the works so attentively, that no one paid attention to the others. Then I turned back and the diamonds were gone.
Inspector Craig asked about the attendant.
-I called him for some refreshment. He was serving the glasses, we all heard him chopping the ice.
-I personally searched him. He doesn't have the diamonds.
-I cannot search my guests. Nobody has left the room. And there's no place to hide the stones!.
Inspector Craig calmed down the poor Mr Andrews and then solved the crime easily.
Where were they, and who was the theft?.

Another weekend riddle? Yay!! Did you read Encyclopedia Brown as a kid Procop? Some of those stories would work perfectly for a weekend riddle.

The servant put the diamonds in the glasses. Intending to gather them later when no-one was around.

edit: or he mixed them with the ice.

I think the ateddent stole the diamonds and hid them in the drinks, blending them with the ice.

OK. Both answers are correct ones. Conagratulations. (What's more there is 5 glasses and 4 people in the room (not counting the attendant).

A bonus?

Guessing contest was held with a prize for guessing right the number of dice stones under the four upturned cups on a counter. Each cup concealed the same number of dice and on each cup was a statement about the number of dice underneath : One or four; Two or four; Two or three; One or two. Only one of the statements was correct. How many dice were under a cup and which statement is true?. (The points on dice are irrelevant here).

two or three, because it is the only one with three, so the number of dice must be three.

Good again invert_nexus more of the same?

There is a board with 100 sentences written on it:
" 1. Precisely one sentence on this board is false.
2. Precisely two sentences on this board are false.
3. Precisely three sentences on this board are false.
4. Precisely four sentences on this board are false.
5. Precisely five sentences on this board are false.
.
.
.
96. Precisely 96 sentences on this board are false.
97. Precisely 97 sentences on this board are false.
98. Precisely 98 sentences on this board are false.
99. Precisely 99 sentences on this board are false.
100. Precisely 100 sentences on this board are false."

Is there in this hundred one true sentence? (If so which one is it?)
