    Hi,

I have got a question to all you weather buffs out there, please explain the math of this to me,today in NJ it was crystal clear weather with Sunshine(Cold though) and tommorow we have a Snow Storm coming up,Why is the Weather so Volatile out here?...Are there any specific reasons for it? and on the top of that we hear from our friends in L.A.(C.A.) and in Georgia that its so hot that they almost feel like taking their T-Shirts off!...Obfuscating!

Weather is variable. Weather is chaotic.
If I have a tank with a water tap positioned above it I can figure out how rapidly the tank will fill if I know the volume of the tank and the flow rate from the tap. So the amount of water in the tank (the dependent variable) can be determined by how much time has elapsed (the independent variable). Easy.
But I can also vary the flow rate from the tap, so that makes it a little more complex. Plus, when the depth gets to a certain level the tank starts to leak. The higher it gets, the faster the leak. Also, two guys keep coming along and emptying pails of water into it. They do this at irregular intervals. Three other guys come along with a hose and siphon some off from time to time, but only on odd numbered days. Sometimes the air gets very dry and I lose quite a bit from evaporation and occasionally the water company shuts down my supply in order to carry out repairs. I don't have one independent variable any more. But in comparison with the weather what I do have is pretty simple.
    Eschew obfuscation.

Yes ... the water in the tank analogy is a large oversimplification of the weather/climate system.

And it's not just in the US where it's happening, it's like that all over the globe. The fact that the weather is chaotic only partially explains it. Even I can't explain every single process that occurs because it would take forever to describe ... and several dozen pages of posts.

In terms of variables, part of it involves topographical affects, proximity to the ocean, path of oceanic circulations, the jet stream, upper level flow, solar output, land use changes, air pressure, pollutants, water vapour distribution, rates of evaporation due to land use changes, sea surface temperature, so on and so forth. It's more complicated than a simple linear problem.

you think that daily change is bad, i will wake up sweating some days, then that evening i will be wearing 3 layers of clothes because of the cold, global warming is having its effect

Yeah, crazy weather. Down here, up the coast from LA, we had non-stop rain and tons of waterspouts, then cold ass weather afterwards, then the following day, high 80's and low 90's, all in the winter time, heh.
