This what the right wingers, our president's party, McCain's party are saying about you brothers.
hypewaders 07-19-08, 08:53 PM  Wow- Coulter & Tucker still get airtime.
joepistole 07-19-08, 09:12 PM All Ann Coulter wants is the western areas and the ski areas.
hypewaders 07-19-08, 09:16 PM I don't give a damn what Ann Coulter wants.
joepistole 07-19-08, 09:57 PM Ann Coulter is the darling of the American right wing, Buffalo, Mad, etc.
nietzschefan 07-19-08, 11:57 PM Well they tried in 1812 and you know then we burnt the white house down(I think it was the brownhouse back then).
Now days they could probably do it. Quite frankly, go ahead. Good luck come winter though, Americans are fucking huge pussies when it comes to serious cold.
skaught 07-20-08, 12:32 AM ...Good luck come winter though, Americans are fucking huge pussies when it comes to serious cold.
Hey now!!! Not us minnesotans! It gets pretty fuckin crazy cold here!!!
Ganymede 07-20-08, 01:13 AM Now days they could probably do it. Quite frankly, go ahead. Good luck come winter though, Americans are fucking huge pussies when it comes to serious cold.
Last time I checked it was pretty cold in Normandy and Berlin:)
superstring01 07-20-08, 01:18 AM Ann Coulter is the darling of the American right wing, Buffalo, Mad, etc.
Not really. I mean, she is certanly adored by the really far right wing idiots. But, there are just as many conservatives who can't stand her.
She's a bitch. A funny bitch. But a bitch still.

hypewaders 07-20-08, 01:35 AM I really was surprised that she's still prime-time, because I know that the Right is not as radicalized/terrorized as it once was right after 9-11 (along with most of the USA). I wonder if Buffalo Roam and Madanthonywayne would care to weigh in here, sharing what they honestly think of the Coultergeist these days.
Is she still prime time? The youtube was posted in late 2005, and what I've noticed since then is a slow but steady phasing out of Coulter. As a conservative, that pleases me to no end.
hypewaders 07-20-08, 02:04 AM ashura: "The youtube was posted in late 2005"
Oh.
Well, um...
:wtf:
SO Coulter's not prominent there anymore? With no successor I presume? That's cause for a little audacity of hope.
TW Scott 07-20-08, 02:09 AM Well they tried in 1812 and you know then we burnt the white house down(I think it was the brownhouse back then).

Excuse me bu Alaskans, Montana, Wisconsin and Michigan all get the same serious cold as Canada and we enduring withou inventing sports like curling.
madanthonywayne 07-20-08, 02:21 AM Ann Coulter is funny. Do I agree with everything she says? Of course not. Is she extreme sometimes? Sure. But, what the hell, how else do you make a point and make people laugh without going a bit overboard.
Hell, I also loved Sam Kinison. He did bits making fun of world hunger organizations, homosexual necrophilia, drunk driving, all kinds of crazy stuff.
As far as Canada goes, you guys are like our brothers. We love to give you crap, and you love to give us crap. But if the shit ever hits the fan, you know we'd have your back.
How is it that this thread has gone this far without this:

hypewaders 07-20-08, 02:42 AM madanthonywayne: "Ann Coulter is funny."
For me, Steven Colbert is funny, and Coulter isn't. To me, it isn't satire (but instead sad, or repulsive in the extreme) if the more depraved, over-the-top, or offensive sentiments are sincere (in causing offense) which is what I sense in Coulter- a desire to inflict offense; to express hatred.
"Do I agree with everything she says? Of course not. Is she extreme sometimes? Sure. But, what the hell, how else do you make a point and make people laugh without going a bit overboard."
The question lingers for me, whether Coulter is sincere or not in her public persona, and I think it's a larger question (for her remaining appreciative audience) about how much that audience values sincerity, integrity, and open-mindedness. I often have the same suspicion about personalities like Rush Limbaugh: Are they for real? -I have doubts. But if they are for real, should we be laughing?
iceaura 07-20-08, 03:12 AM But, what the hell, how else do you make a point and make people laugh without going a bit overboard. Ask PJ O'Rourke - but he is funny and insightful and talented, and what he says often has a core of truth.
Coulter wasn't "overboard", or particularly funny - she was ordinary, petty, unimaginatively, garden variety mean. And the mainstream media couldn't get enough of her.
Coulter is still the all time best selling conservative, Republican - endorsed author of topical political commentary, AFAIK. The embarrassed attempts to disown her recently are too late - what you read in her stuff is the actual level of thinking, the genuine approach, of the mainstream ideological crowd that took and still holds the government of the United States. That's who we're fighting for in Iraq, that's who the laws and economic policies of the US are being set up to service - the people who laugh at Coulter's idea of humor, who find her Addams Family style sexy, who think she is telling the truth.
madanthonywayne 07-20-08, 03:41 AM For me, Steven Colbert is funny, and Coulter isn't.
Sure Colbert is funny, but he's clearly just playing a parody of a conservative. Still, I enjoy him. He had a great line the other night when Rush was on American TV for the first time in 30 years (and on his show, no less). He was discussing their musical influences when he asked, "You do some long songs. Have you ever written a song so epic that by the time you got to the end you were influenced by yourself?"
I'd say Coulter deliberately goes overboard to make a point. But Limbaugh is 100% sincere.
Ask PJ O'Rourke - but he is funny and insightful and talented, and what he says often has a core of truth. I like PJ O'Roark way more than Ann Coulture. I've bought and read a couple of his books, and also enjoyed his columns when he was with Rolling Stone. Coulture, on the other hand, I don't enjoy reading anything by her. I recieved one of her books as a gift and never got beyond the first chapter. Not that funny.
But she's great at giving good one liners on talk shows.
nietzschefan 07-20-08, 03:53 AM Excuse me bu Alaskans, Montana, Wisconsin and Michigan all get the same serious cold as Canada and we enduring withou inventing sports like curling.
Alaskans are pretty fucking far removed from the "average" American. I hae met quite a few of them. They are really lucky, they are probably the most free people living on this planet.
joepistole 07-20-08, 02:15 PM Ok, well what about this:http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=2pACMbSzQGI&feature=related
joepistole 07-20-08, 02:29 PM Here is a website dedicated to the American invasion of Canada along with right wing rational. It all makes sense from an American Right wing perspective.
